Decided on my hood! Cervini cowl with hood lock pins?anyone have pics?

After numerous searches and pictures,I decided to go with the cervini cowl.....I am looking at the price difference between the hood pin and the latch type of hood....Im leaning for the hood pin because of the price difference..

My question is,does it mount to the existing rear most mounting and use 2 front hood pins or does it use 4 hood pins at all 4 corners???Any have pictures of a cervini bolt on hood?

It all depends on how many hood pins you want. Most people choose to mount the hood in the stock locations on the back, and use two pins up front. I know of many guys who have it done like that here, including a few strip only race cars.

So does it mount to the existing rear mount bracket and use the two front hood pins up front or 4 mounting pins at 4 corners?

Yes and yes. If you want to mount it to the existing rear mount brackets (the spring loaded ones) and use two front pins you can.

If you want to remove the back brackets and replace them with pins you can as well. Your hood would them have to be lifted off you car, likemy buddies in the background of this pic..

I am assuming, of course, that you are looking to buy a hood with no holes pre-drilled for hood pins. Because if that is the case you just drill some holes and mount as many pins as you like. If you are looking at a hood with holes pre drilled up front, then it would mount to your rear brackets and be pinned up front.

Thanks for the info,I was just wondering because i just want to have the two front hood pins and not all 4...Does anyone know if the bolt on cervini hood attaches to the rear most mounting brackets? Or is it a 4 corner bolt on hood pin hood

Ive got the cowl hood from cervini. I really wish I would have gotten hood pins............I really would of like the looks of it.

Thanks for the opinion

I decided not to go with the hood pins because im shaving the handles and antenna and I dont think it would flow well if I had hood pins....Order it tonight so hopefully it comes in within a week and a half

hood pins are more of a pain in the *** than what its worth...when my car was redone i did the hood without because it looks so much more cleaner

you can't argue with this
