dubcity- My lights were not direct replacements. I had to cut out larger circles in the back of the metal bracket headlight brackets on my car in order to accomodate the larger connectors. You also have to remove the metal headlight rings and most likely the metal bracket headlight brackets themselves in order to then slide the new lights in. This part you would have to do anyway, even if you were just putting in new stock headlights. The problem here is that if you have nicely painted headlight pockets you could very easily scartch or even crack the paint.
but so either or ill have to modify the brackets?

i installed the lights but not the new harness yet and with the low beams on the bright lights are dim, do yalls do this also i dont like it i just want the low beams on and not both it looks kinda dorky, but hopefully the new harness will fix that. also how do you know which lights are the brights and which ones are the low beams, i installed them and the brights are no brighter than the low beams just bluer... maybe i put the high beams in the low beams and the low beams in for the high beams, ill play with the connectors and see if i can figure out which ones go where.

I'm working on a tutorial right now on how to make the 82-90 firebird ones look really close to stock:

Re: Clear parking lights!
88305tbi i did do the full h4 conversion although it doesnt look that way, the outer housings are euro lights and the inner high beams are hella, but im gonna swap those out and get 2 more euro lights to match, as for the bulbs in the park lights i bought a set of led euro lite bulbs that are a direct replacement to the old yellow bulbs, thanks for the compliments guys
Re: Clear parking lights!
From all these pics I do know one thing for sure I think the painted area around the heads lights that come on the fascia look alot better when there the same color as the car compared to when there black on a red car or black on a white car i think the black paint on a non black car looks too oldschool. I like those headlights and bumperlights the clear ones but is there anyone that doesnt put amber turnsignal lights in there? I think it would look cooler with some blue lights since its already clear and I know blue would be illegal but are blue lights/colored bulbs even available that actually shine blue?
Re: Clear parking lights!
I apologize for drudging up an old thread, but I wasn't sure of the best place to put this. I have an 86 SC without Ground FX. Earlier in the thread it says they have a smaller parking light, which it appears I'm running into because the DEPO clear parking light is about an inch too long to fit my car. None of the stores seem to recognize this problem, so what do I need to ask for to get the correct parking light? Even the OEM replacement type don't distinguish between two different parking light sizes. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
