Should I get new wheels?

When I was at work the other day one of my co-workers offered me $500 for my wheels and tires. I have been thinking about getting a new set of wheels lately and 500 seems like a good deal for me. I found a local guy selling a pair of 17x9.5 ZR1's for $700. He bought them brand new from SLP along with BFGoodrich G-Force KDW 275/40 ZR17's. They only have a couple thousand miles on them. What do you guys think? I like my current rims because they give the car an old school muscle look. But then I think if I am ever going to get different wheels now would be the time. Here are pics of my current wheels and the ZR1's.

I like the ones you have on there now. Then again, I am over 40 so what do I know?

go with the ZR1's. The rims you have on the car now don't do the car justice.

are the wheels that are on there now using spacers?
will the zr1s need them?
this might be an extra cost that will make your decision easier.

This really shouldn't be a big decision, the clear winner in my mind are the ZR1's. If they are the slp's made for the third gen then they will require no spacers. However you never mentioned wether they come with tires or not? Because tires of good quality will set you back some money as well.

My current wheels do not require spacers. I will need adapters for the ZR1's. The seller has a set of 2" adapters that I will buy. And yeah the tires come with the wheels.

Can you believe it? The majority votes to spend your money! Me too, lol.

But if the ZR1 is your choice, with your all black car and those red Z28 emblems, which I think looks GREAT, I think chrome ones would look best. But the silvers will look great too, so... go for it!

Zr1's would look KILLER on your car. I'd have to say that deal was meant for you. Do it.

Thought you guys might like to know I am getting the ZR1's I will probably pick them up this Saturday. Got to make a 160 mile trip but it will be worth it. Atleast I wont have to worry about shipping. Now I have to figure out how to fit the wheels in the Z

My Last Camaro('91 RS) Had Those Same Wheels On It. On Black, Those Chrome Wheels Look Really Nice. If Your Getting ZR1's, Get Chrome... Only Way I Like'em.

No offense but those "saw blade" wheels are severely old school... The ZR1 will make a big jump in aggressiveness and stealth for your car...
