Yea i'm keeping the bottom end for now, it was rebuilt shortly after i got it, its supposed to be done out to like a 310 or 315, either way it needed more, i'm running
sch racing heads built 081's comp valves, 1.94/1.50, comp springs, locks retainers, bronze guides, 1205 race port, 3/8 screw ins and guideplates
Comp cam 450/480
trick flow push rods
comp pro magnum rockers 1.5's
heavily ported tbi
tbi spacer
tbi injector pod spacer and no more gold ring
edelbrock manifold port matched to heads
tes headers into a catco 3" cat with full 3" into a classic chambered powerstick
msd blaster coil
helicore wires
accel module and cap and rotor
14x4" open element
teh last four were already on there all sealed up by felpros
She oughted get up hold her own with some bigger cubes now lol, got the headers and ypipe finsihed up to day have to get some 3" bent to get teh exhaust together the rest of the way, cams getting slid in on tuesday should ahve the rods and rockers in wed or thursday, hoping to button it all up and fire it this coming weekend, also got the bay cleaned up and painted this afternoon....a world of difference there, i think all the little dirt spots and scrapes and whatnot was somewhat hindering my judging....cant wait to get her out

Hey man that looks sweet! Can't wait to see it in person again. Your doing a good job and I'm sure you will reap your rewards this summer. We will really need to get together for some shows.
Missed you at the track today, but I'm not mad at cha. The pictures show that you were really busy, and it sounds like you are going to have to go here soon to find out how the new combo works.
Looks great!

it's lookin' good, though i can tell you you didn't need the tall valve covers. i'm running a much bigger cam than you are with .480"/.500" lift and comp pro-magnum roller rockers. with no issues under the short ones. i bought some moroso valve covers. i'm in love!
have fun with the tuning on that tbi stuff!

He is probably needing the tall valve covers to clear the magnum rockers.
I am running The Steel roller tip rockers with Kool nuts, and they clear my short valve covers, but the aluminium ones usually do not.

Hmmm, probably just assumed he needed tall valve covers then,
or maybe he got crazy and put some stud girdles on it, like my race motor has...
