But this is for the people always looking for pictures of banners and vinyl's, it can give ya an idea, but don't copy...haha

i like the "pontiac" windshield banners that came on the old indy pace cars. i might put a "chevrolet" windshield banner on my camaro, but i need to check VA state law first.

i like white window vinal on a white car. liek the "PONTIAC" on the top of TTAs. i would totaly get on my GTA if it was white. unfortunatly/fortunatly it's black... so no decal. i keep them under the hood.

klumb15 - its too big for my liking i perfer small and simple...but ya its not bad i guess. By the way there are LOTS of cars that can easily mess with f-bodys so dont get too cocky.

EthanL - i love the color of clear, i dont like altezzas, i like clear. Tinted clear if you want to be specific and black in the lights to break it up. Thats not "rice" its just perference. Do what you wanna do and dont let the opinions of a few change that.

nelapse - Since when were actual professional race cars in any shape or form rice? I beilive there stickers are called "sponsors" Also what is wrong with supporting your group/club/forums? We all have our own likes...

i actually like windshield banners that say pontiac on the ta's and chevrolet on the camaro's. almost bought one for my Z, probably will after i paint it.

 

I guess I just never saw the point in the large PONTIAC or CHEVROLET windshield stickers. Kind of like stating the obvious to me. Why not just get one that says CAR?

Its a PONTIAC/CHEVROLET? No way! I would have never known unless you had a 3' wide banner on your windshield!

 

I agree and I guess I'll never understand. Someone around here has an Oldsmobile banner. It's unlikely anyone is saying to themselves "Damn I wish I knew what company manufactured that sweet ride." Banners are tacky.

I agree with you if you are sponsored support the decal... but 95% of people with stickers or decals put them on because they think it looks cool. Decals dont look good... sponsorships however do

Now I will tell you what does look good is if you get altezzas and make them look domestic... spray the black tint spray or the red tint spray so when they light up you see the circles and not the cheese ball clear and red. Just something to think about

In KY i dont think its illegal, but really how many cops care about a sticker? Most cops dont care a whole lot...heres an example. I was in Evansville, IN...so i was sitting at a red light when all the sudden a small truck with about 6-9 guys in the back pulls right out onto a really busy highway. The car next to us was a police car with nobody in front of them, they could have easily pulled this guy over because he had a short break before another car came....Put instead he pulled over to a Cracker barrel ( I think). So rember click it or ticket. Stick it and ticket....I cant see that.

 

I dont like large banners at all really i dont mind small and simple stuff at the top or bottom of the hatch just got stretching 1 side to the other.

I do like the Pontiac and Chevrolet banners the most outta all of them cause your just showing that your proud of your car and let everyone know it is actually a Pontiac or a Chevrolet that looks that nice. Of course not every car we see with these banners actually looks that good but oh well at least your supporting what you like.

How does that compare at all to what we are talking about?

Some cops depending on the area are dicks...like here in northern virginia you will get pulled over for a decal that large.

 

That compares because if all those guys in the back could be killed and a cop doesnt care....Why would the care about a sticker. They might glance and think about it, or pull you over and tell you that you shouldnt have it, but a ticket . But im not from VA so i cant say.

 

in some states it is legal to put people in the truck bed as long as all available cab seats are taken. i know Hawaii is like that. i have been told oregon is as well.

 

Like just up north from me MD i think you can and VA you cant. Same with decal laws it all depends on state laws not the cops mood.

I had this banner on my Trans Am,


I had no issues since it was inside the car and not too flashy. Friends of mine are inspectors so I didn't have to worry about the banner during inspection time.

I think CHEVROLET or PONTIAC looks pretty good. To the guy who said "its like stating the obvious", actually, its showing pride that you own that type of car.

Same here, had to change a few things....not to bad. Exept this is what happen when your door hinge and bushings are worn out.
