Just got car back after a crunch
Hi everyone. I'm new here and want to say hi. I'm severly outclassed by the amazing cars I've seen here so far, but thought I'd post a few pix anyway.
My car was parked on the street and some dummy backed out of his driveway and crunched my left rear quarter panel. Just got it fixed and detailed, so it seemed like a good time to snap some photos. Unfortunately, I won't get my new sail panel decal until later today, so the car is a little bare up top.
It's an '83 v6 with 229,000 miles (all by me).
Ed

Looks really like an 82-83 !
i would keep that look on the car
cause its really close to what originally was
personally i like more modern look but for this one
i'd go with the 82-83 look
nice !

The body shop was supposed to repaint them for me the other day but they said they didn't have time.
One of these days I'll have them taken off and have the 4 bolt holes in each door covered up and refinished - they're really ugly.

Thanks for the nice words everyone. I ordered it in March of '83 and didn't get it until mid-July. There was some doubt that they'd get to it before they closed down to re-tool for 84's, but they fit it in right near the end of the production run. I still have the window stickers and the QC tags from under the seats.
It's all original except for the wheels and the black mirrors.

Looks awesome. Welcome aboard! Two things though:
Lock guards? Huh? Never seen those before..
What about the black things you have on the bumper right infront of the signal lights?

That's a good looking firebird. I love it. Of course I'm a little biased towards red 82-84 body styles.

I have a house in the Adirondacks and we make the 600 mile roundtrip every couple of weeks during the night and early morning. We see LOTS of deer and the whistles actually seem to help so it's worth having them.
