A hood I'd like to see (photoshopped)

For a while I've been trying to picture a hood that I think would look pretty good on a thirdgen camaro.
Im thinking a low (maybe 2 inches, not taller) but wider cowl looking hood could look sweet. One that is as wide as the original "center section" of the hood (same width as between the headlights).
I did a quick photoshop on my convertible to show a little better what I mean. It might be a little too tall - but hopefully you get the idea.
It wouldn't necessarily have to have the louvers.

What do you guys think...?

Yeah - not too far from the Daytona hood - except it is equally wide all the way, and not the holes on the side. Those are actually the two things I personally don't care about on the Daytona hoods..

You mean kinda like mine? It follows the original contours of the hood exactly. This is not photoshopped by the way.

It's a Jongbloed hood, and unfortunately it seems that they are out of business. This weekend at the Super Chevy show at Pomona I saw only the 3rd one of them I've ever seen.

both of those hoods are sweet looking. I am not really a fan of the daytona hoods, ther's too much going on with them. I don't really like the holes on the side. But I am considering the SS hood that fits the 3rd gens(of course). Anyone have experience with these? I saw some pics that I think looked really good.

Andy, thats very close to what Im talking about!! That hood is sweet - do you have any more pics of it that shows it better..?
If it was up to me, it could have been even a little lower than that, but that is still very cool!

Vortec305, do you have the same hood as Andy89RS..?

Here's a shot of the hood where I cut it off of the car with Photoshop.

LOL, I don't know if I'd go into business making hoods - but I will certainly consider custom building my own down the line if I can't find one that I like..
Hopefully some company would like the idea though, and look into producing something along those lines.

Blue502, that is a very nice hood, I really like it!! Is it a custom made one...?
BTW, that is one beautiful car..totally awesome!!! I love the color - Great job.
