Ready For The 4th Of July Car Show
I just waxed the Camaro in preparation for a car show on the 4th of July. This will be my first entry in a car show.
I thought I'd post a photo of it all polished up.

Thanks guys. The rims are a nice fit and really improve the handling charecteristics of the car. The size and offset also give the car a nice stance. Ultimately I would like to put some chrome C6 Corvette wheels on it.
The car show was a lot of fun. I had the only third gen in the show. In fact I don't remember seeing another third gen all day. I entered the car in the sports car division and got a lot of votes from the musclecar guys but lost out to a 1994 Lamboroghini Diablo and a mint condition 1951 Thunderbird convertible. I didn't really expect to win anyway because the car isn't even finished yet.
It was still fun and I'm already thinking of entering another show in August.
The car is a re-badged RS. That's why it has the flat hood. One on these days I'm going to swap it out for either an IROC hood or a 2" cowl induction hood. I wouldn't call it a clone. I just prefer the Z/28 nameplate. I know that will **** off a lot of people but that doesn't bother me.
By the way, the "R" on my license plates stand for Roadster. I thought it was a clever idea and the car gets a lot more attention now than when it was badged as an RS.
