How many people out there have the Forest green with the gold strips. I have never seen one besides mine.(kind of cool). My friend said he saw one in Missori. I think it's wierd I never see one.

 

I believe there were 3 color combinations avaliable, black w/red stripes, white w/red, and red w/black, but near the end of production for 92 there were 3 more avaliable, one of which is your combo, I have heard they are somewhat rare. I can't remember the other 2 at the moment.

 

One of the other rare combos was Purple Haze with Siver (gray) stripes. I have seen the purple, but never the green... Nice job!

I have not seen one but read somewhere that another rare color for a Heritage package was a Polo green w/gold stripes.

 

Mine must be the Polo Green with the gold strips. It's a real dark green with gold strips and stock acsented gold rims.

 

i have seen only one down here in florida and i think its a beautiful combo the car i saw had dark tinted windows(i mean dark) but then again all the cars down here that want to save their interior do

I live in Missouri and have saw the purple with siver stripes , polo green with gold stripes 2 times here,also theres a guy driving the white one with orange stripes,and saw a black one with red stripes,quite a few red w black stripes here also.Guess Missouri likes 3rd genz

 

I saw one in plantation,Fl.I almost bought it,but i'm not a big fan of the tan interior.This guy had the wheels chromed,and more stereo equipment then i needed.I do have a polo green car w/black heritage stripes.(no its not factory)

there is a 92 purple camaro with silver stripes that the guy lives down the street from me. but the different thing about it is that, it says on each door ...25th anniversary edition...(or somethign like that i dont recall) was this an option for the heritage package, cause i have not seen another one with that labeling across the entire doors. or was this just a custom paint job? anyone..

I go to school at Oregon State University. I was walking back to my dorm and saw one of the Purple one's with silver stripes. I thought it looked pretty cool. Just in case you guys wanted to know about another one.

 

My buddy and I spent all sunday afternoon cleaning them up. He's got an 86 Monte SS. My camaro was looking preaty damn good. I'll post the pics when I get them back.

I call it a Metallic Green because of the metal flecks. Yes it is a rare car, I can find very little info about them. My understanding is the it was less than 900.

This is a '92 1/2 yr car, not too mention the last year for that body style. Add to that the skirts were only there for two years and you get even more rare.

The heritage package includes;

gold stripes on hood and deck

gold accented rims (not on any other car factory)

25th Ann. decal where most cars have a glove box

25th Ann. badge on rear deck, if you don't have this you have an after market copycat.

The 25th Ann. on the doors is definately a hack job.

There are two more cars in this area, I met one guy, but he's too embarrased by how bad his car looks compared to mine to take pictures together. He lost his rear badge when he got rear ended.

 

Our cars dont have gloveboxes I have a pretty rare 25th anniversary myself, but I dont brag about it

I may be posted as a Jr. but I've posted/read this board before. I do realize that attitude is hard to read, but I don't think/ feel like I was bragging, just stating facts.

As for the glovebox remark I was just giving a good location visual. Personally, I wouldn't want to reach over that far.

Options? I'm not sure that I have any, but I'll tell you what it came w/. A 305, 5 liter, 8 banger, OD automatic. I currently have 135k and will upgrade to a 350 this fall. SuperCharged w/in two years if that isn't enough.

There were only 4 colors total for the heritage edition package.. You must have a custom paint job because as stated before the 4 colors are red with black, white with red stripes, black with red stripes, and finally purple haze at the end of the year.. so there are only 4 colors..

 

Thanks for playin' but the green with gold was also an option. There is one in my town and his is an absolutely flawless example with only 30k miles on it and no mods, paint etc.

25th anniversary of Camaro and last year for the 3rd generation Camaro. 1992 also marked the end of Camaros produced at the Van Nuys plant (the only Camaro producing plant since the Norwood plant closed at the end of the 1987 model year). All Camaros had 25th anniversary badge on dash.

'Heritage Edition' package available on all Camaros. Package included first generation Camaro style hood and rear deck stripes, body colored grille, black headlamp pockets, and a 25th anniversary badge on rear spoiler (RS) or hatchback rear edge (Z28). Initially Heritage package only available as white car with red stripes; black car with red stripes; or red car with black stripes. Mid-year, additional Heritage Edition colors available: polo green car with gold stripes (this combination also got gold badges and gold accent wheels); and purple haze car with silver stripes.

Special 25th anniversary `Collector's Edition' Camaro was planned, but then dropped. There were to be 602 (same as the number of '67 Z28's) produced. Only two prototypes were completed however. The Collector's Edition Camaro started as a white Heritage Edition RS Camaro (with black stripes). Then the B4C police package was added, and then it was equipped with the Corvette L98 5.7 aluminum head motor, fitted with siamesed intake runners and tubular headers. This brought the horsepower rating up to 270. The car was also equipped with a ZF 6-speed and GTA black `lace' 16x8 wheels.

I have seen several of both the Polo Green with gold stripes, and the Purple Haze with silver stripes, but in addition there was a dealer here in Portland who had a new Polo Green with silver stripe car back in '92. The silver stripes may have been added by the dealership though, as like everyone else above, I have only seen the gold listed as being available with the green. Never seen the car since.
