2500 Miles Of Racing And Still Has Perfect Paint 1LE

This is not my car nor do I know the seller.[[/

I wasn't sure where to put this or how to title the thread with all the questions surrounding this car, so i'll start with a easy one.

2500 miles of road racing on this car and no scratches or dents anywhere?

I think most of you will agree that this car has a strange history.

Take a look---eBay Motors: Chevrolet : Camaro (item 230012906400 end time Aug-07-06 18:03:41 PDT)

I dont see whats so strange? Plenty of cars can race and not run into each other? He said it had some chips behind the wheels its not "perfect".

To me that car was used for its purpose and was also maintained correctly while doing so, nice car.

wayfast84, you mean windshield wipers? The car in that auction does, look at the engine pictures and you can see them there.

No I mean washers. I expect every street legal car to hagve wipers, but for a 1le to have windsheild washers let alone a full bottle, sucks

The car has 2500 miles of road racing on it and the body is straight as an arrow and it has the original paint too!
I find it hard to believe, unless he was racing by himself......

Funny that they should put the back rests for the back seat in.

Otherwise it looks pretty sweet. And it's only a few hours away from me...

Yes and you can still think its strange and hard to beilive as much as you want. Lots of SCCA and Historic race cups race original shelby cobras and many other classic very high value cars and dont wreck them into each other. Lots of racing events are setup more for fun then serious competition like points/money...

wow.. it has A/C also.

The vintage unit is probably 100X better than the factory system.

A lot of road-racing events are done based on time, and cars are let onto the track in intervals so that they are spaced out. Because drivers are spaced out, if there is a situation where a pass needs to occur, there is no benefit to either driver to "race" each other, so they just let each other pass. This isn't NASCAR, so there's no "rubbin' is racin'" philosophy going on. Unless the driver goes off the course in an area where he can hit something, there's really very little damage that can be done to a car under this type of racing.
