I got home from California last night and found a nice surprise. My wheels came while I was gone. I had the tires mounted and installed them today. These are Coy's C5 wheels (has nothing to do with a Corvette
) These are 18x8 with 245/45/18's all the way around. I think these wheels complement my car perfectly and I'm glad I waited so long to order a set. Anyways.. here are pics:

did you have to do any suspension work to get those on there without rubbing?
Outside full side shots!!
Otherwise they look great!
The stock wheels were the only things I did not like on your beautiful car.

Kinda hard to tell from those pics, but I'd say they look nice.

Match the car perfectly! What an upgrade over the 15's. Sweet tire choice too. Those tires are about an inch taller than stock. 26.6"

Those look nice on your car. I dig the powder coat with the polished lip. Looks sweet.
Out of curiousity, my car has the factory 16's on it. How bad did putting 18's on affect the ride of the car? I hear that they handle better with the larger rims, but I wondered if it made them ride like a brick.

Those look pretty sweet, indeed.
Looks like the lip is nice and wide, too...though I think the Ronal is even wider. I can lay a sandwich across mine.

WOW!!! Those look AWESOME!!!!!
Do they make them in 9.5" wide?

Yeah, thats def like sex right there.

Pull that thing outta the garage for some pics!!
Thanks for all the complements guys. I had 245/45/15's and 235/45/15's on the car before, so the height isn't all that much different to me. I haven't driven the car yet so I can't really comment on any rubbing issues or the ride, but I can tell you there is no rubbing at full lock either way when the car is parked. It doesn't rub but is pretty close. Just the right distance in my opinion.
The Ronals were my other option. After I added it up, the extra $500+ wasn't worth it to me. Though I will say they are awesome wheels.
Yes the do make these in 9.5" widths. Check out Coy's Custom Wheel & Tire
The billet fuel door was modified to fit my car, it was made for a Chevy Silverado.
I'll get some more pictures outside in the next few days, as soon as the sun comes out for good.

I feel kinda like a father on this one, but "son" I am glad that you took my advise because those look soooooo good! I think I would have went with the 9.5 in rear, but when you get it out of the garage and I see the whole effect I will soon forget about the width. I do agree that the car needs to be dropped now, and would also suggest the Eibach Sportlines as a good way to fill up the fenderwells.
Nice job - POST MORE PICS!!!!!!!!!

I agree, that car needs to be lowered.
Looks good though. The color scheme is sweet!

Just lower the car and its perfect! Those wheels match the color perfect!!!
18inchboyds- The center caps say 'Coys'. I'm not really feeling the red on the decals so I think I'm going to get my own decals made.
I'm not even going to think about loweing it at this point, maybe next summer. I've already spent alot more than I wanted to at this point and with another 3 years of college ahead of me I have to keep saving.
I wanted to get the 9.5" also but after I realized the extra expense I just didn't think it was worth it for me. I'm planning on getting the car out today, so watch for more pictures.
Thanks again for all the complements!

Those are sexy rims. I just might have to order a set for myself. Good price too.

Very nice. They look like they match your paint color perfectly. You can tell people, "Yeah, I had them made just for my car."
They look great. Best looking wheels I've seen on a 'Bird.

They look kick *** on your car!! I might order them for my bday

Yeah those match perfect...and the lip sets it all off. Good choice!
I took some pictures outside today. I can't believe how much the car has changed just by a set of wheels. All the guys at the gas station were drooling, every other time they didn't even notice it.

Cool! More pics. Those fit your car very nicely. I especially like the last picture. Looks like you painted the road pretty nice.
I got a deal on the wheels because they were out of the 17's, which was what I originally wanted. I got the set for a little over $800 shipped with lug nuts and flush valve stems. The tires were $469 mounted and balanced. Almost $1300 from start to finish, I couldn't be any happier.

WOW, to be completely honest with you i didnt like anything about your car other than the color but now that you have gotten those rims everything has come together VERY well. its got to be one of my favorite early third gens now. i would love to see you get those windows tinted down the road. getting rid of those stock wheels was the best move i made too. it completely changed my car as well.
Supreme Member
good thing u posted pics taken outside cause i had no clue how they really looked in those garage pics. those wheels look very nice man! do you have any pics with the tops on? are you going to keep that spoiler?
Thanks guys. Sorry I don't have any pictures with the T-tops on because I never have them on. That spoiler is going to stay.

Absolutely stunning! When I first saw the outside picture, my jaw hit the floor. I must say it really looks good now. I wasn't liking the stock wheels. I knew you were going for something different....I love the choice. I would love to see those wheels on my car.
Sweet ride man, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
