Will tail lights for this year just bolt up to my 89 formula? I am not concerned about the wiring, i can figure that out. I am not sure if the bumper is different.

yes they will...they will just bolt right up
where did you find em. i did the taillight swap but it was from firebird tails to 89 gta/ta tails, not the 91/92s. im sure it would look sweet!!

Yea, i want to do this same exact thing to my 86 TA....someone please tell me how hard it is, and how much, or where i can get these lights for cheap. I need the 91-92 GTA taillamps...any ideas? Thankx.

tehy will bolt right in and then you can just go order the rear tail light wiring hrness from Gm and you dont have to mess with anything. Iv been looking for a set for two years now

 

I've been looking for a set for a year and a half myself, so i went to the dealer....the pair will run me $600 dollars. Nice chunk of change for some lights...damn....its like i have dollar bills comming out of my @$$. The dealers are waaaay too expensive...but at least they would include the harness, etc. I'm gonna try the thridgen junkyards.

I have them in my 86 TA and I didnt have to change any of the harness.

guys, there are no such thing as GTA taillamps.... they are just 91/92 Trans Am taillights. Try www.tacreationsusa.com and www.camaroheaven.com.

Phantom,I actually ended up buying two different sets to end up with one nice set.One lens on each pair was cracked.I think I have around $300 in total.But they do look great.

Wow, they DO look really really good. 300 isnt bad considering they want 650/set from the dealer new. I will definetly have to find a pair for my 86. They look awesome
