I CURRENTLY HAVE 20" IROC WHEELS ON MY IROC CAMARO WHICH ARE 245 . BUT IM TIRED OF THEM AND I WANT TO UPGRADE TO 22" IROC WHEELS WHICH ARE 255, BUT WILL THEY FIT. I HAVE SEEN IROCS WITH 22s BUT 245s. IS IT POSSIBLE 2 FIT 22" IROC OR WILL I HAVE 2 MODYFY MY SUSPENSION?

I know to each their own when it comes to style but really. Yes it's been done, there was a post not too long ago with a IROC with 22's. DID NOT look good. Looked like a friggin matchbox car or johny lightning. Thread Starter

EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN TASTE AND FOR ME ITS THE BIGGER THE BETTER. NOW THAT I KNOW THAT 22" IROCS FIT ITS A MATTER OF WHERE CAN I GET THEM DONE? AND WHAT DO I NEED 2 DO TO MAKE THEM FIT?

Sorry, I can't answer your question about 22's. FYI, all caps = yelling.

Bigger does not equal better. Anything over 17s with the same width is going to have less traction, weigh more in most cases, and higher cost in tires. It takes more engine power to move more wieght and bigger brakes to stop more wieght. Its only purpose would be for looks but if you insist:

SO THEN EVERYBODY THINKS I SHOULD NOT UPGRADE TO 22 IROC AND JUST STAY WITH THESE 20s

ITS TRUE IT WEIGHS MORE, BUT THAT SHOULD ONLY MATTER 2 SOMEONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN PERFORMANCE. BUT AS FOR MY CASE IM FOR THE LOOKS BUT THAT DONT MEAN THAT I HAVNT SPEND MONEY ON THE ENGINE CAUSE I HAVE NOTHING EXTREME THOUGH CAUSE U CANT DO MUCH IN LA WITH ALL THE STUPID SMOG REGULATIONS
Nobody or very few have 22s on here. You'd pretty much be on your own if you put them on with little help from here. You'd probably have to figure out supsension and stuff like that, if problems would even pop up. I think it will depend on the width of the rims.

18's are ar big as they should be on these cars, these aren't ricers and have no need of 22's

Dude, hope your not being serious about this.
22's would just look plain ugly on a 3rd gen. I even think 20's looks butt ugly.
I don't care if it is the new hot trend to have big wheels. People aren't blind are they?
Sorry man, but you just can't count on alot of support from this board

I'd say to make it a LITTLE better, upgrade the brakes to something bigger. At least Z06 brakes. Cause the reason why car companies started putting bigger wheels on cars was to put bigger brakes on. And cause mostly high-end car companies and muscle/super cars have them, big wheels they are the new trend. Even though I am anti-18"+ wheels, to fill up the gap in the middle get bigger brakes. If anything, I'd stick with the 20s. They way your car probably rides now is terrible, I can't imagine what it will be like with 22s.

is it just me, or is the high mount 3rd brake light and the "Iroc-z" decal location telling me you have an 86, and not an 89?

anyways, there was a post on here awhile back of some custom shop that showed a few thirdgens running 22's and I think one with 24's....to answer your question you gotta know how wide the rim is going to be, and then figure in the fact that to run a rim that large and keep a stock profile with tires you'd have to run rubber so thin that driving down the road would feel like you had no suspension in the car whatsoever. Do the math, and you can figure it out....but honestly, unless you're building a show car and will have it bagged most of the time, it's sensless to have these cars running such a large profile rim.....plus it's hideous.

#1 you get girls like that...
#2 People like you put wheels like that on an F-body and then consider going with an even larger wheel
#3 you are a disgrace to all thirgen drivers
#4 it requires a very large and expensive supply of crack to participate in "The Dub movement"
WARNING! Do not attempt to convert a thirdgen into a rock climbing terd

He didn't ask for opinions, he asked if they will fit.
