ground effects on a 91 RS?
ok, so i havent found any info on this so far. but im going to keep searching. pardon my asking it was probably asked a million times, but i have an 88 IROC and i just love the ground effects or "lip kit" or whatever you call the fiberglass pieces on the bottom of the door, front and rear bumpers of the 91-92 camaro. does anyone know if i can get those and put them on my car? or should i just stick with the ones i have now? id like to somehow get those on my car. even if it means paying someone to do the stuff i dont have the skill to do. thanks for all your input.

Go to a junkyard and get them, be prepared to use filler and to sand them a lot though. Took me months before I found one of the ground effect parts I was missing on my '91, the lower extension on the door, that meets with the rest of the ground effects, on the passenger side.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn
91-92 gound effects are almost impossible to find were I live every yard ive been too there gone or cracked just like mine was, and the 89's should go on pretty easy

You might try Hawks Third Gen, one of the site sponsers or http://www.classicindustries.com but, be prepared, theyre not cheap. Also, these parts have come up on the classifieds section on the TGO site.

The bumper is the same, just the ground effect piece is different. You may be able to get the pieces you need brand new from GM if you want to spend the extra bucks. I bought a new front bumper and ground effect from GM earlier this year.

I say keep the stock ones on your IROC. Irocs look perfect the way they are. Put your money into something else. How about some nice 17 or 18"chrome iroc wheels?

well i was hoping to get some better suspension soon. i just love the way those skirts look. i think with lowering springs my car wont look like its so jacked up. cause right now it looks like a pick-up. i want it to be low and mean, and i think those side skirts kinda give it that look without actually lowering the car. but bigger wheels to fill up that empty space in my wheel wells would look awesome. what are some of the wheel favorites on this board?

your gonna open up a can of worms asking this question. whats nice to you or me may be ugly to someone else. Browse through the appearance board and see what thers are running. Your budget is going to dicate what wheel and tire combo you can get. I think the cheapest 17" wheels that look decent on our are are the SS wheels. They can be had for under $500 on ebay. You will need spacers though. Like I said, read through the threads in the appearance board and you will geta better idea of what guys are running.
PS if I where you, I would use the money to buy lowering springs and new shocks along with some chrome iroc wheels either in 17 or 18". You car will look real nice with some Eibach sportline springs and chrome 18" irocs. But thats just me.
