put the cowl hood back on, put on some splash gaurds (mud flaps for those of you south of the mason/dixon, lol!) and the rodlites. i really really like the way the car looks like this and i can't wait to get a new daily so that i can keep it like this all the time, but alas, the iroc wheels must go back on...

let me know what you think!

haha, yeah i suppose i've pretty much killed that one huh, lol! oh well...i like it...and i guess you could say i'm not going for the sleeper look any longer...i think i'm gonna start leaning on this thing alittle more and spray it and hope for some high 10's...which won't exactly match the way the car looks (high 12's, lo 13's) so it'll KINDA be a sleeper...

Definately looks good like that! I'd keep the mudflaps too, they don't really look too bad and they're better than getting burning hot rubber all over the paint! Since it's a drag car I don't know if you'd want to spend the money, but I think some crystal headlights would look sweet on that car.

could you possibly send a link to where i might be able to get something like that? i'm all about helping this thing stay streetable, as long as it doesn't add too much weight or gets in the way of working on the motor.

It looks good as it sits, but........
I think it would look nasty with black wheels and tinted windows.
BTW, keep those mud flaps.

the windows need to be tinted, but i'm only gonna go 32%, i don't like super dark windows on a white car...as far as the wheels go, they're not changing unless someone gives me a boatload of money for some bogarts...this car is setup for drag racing, i don't wanna put some heavy *** 18's on it.

Satin black the center of the wheel and leave the lip as it is.

Like said you've tinkered with the looks for a while now, but i think you've finally found the sweet spot. I'm lovin' the stance!

Crystal headlights are nice but Silverstars provide excellent light quality and are somewhat lighter.Well compared to the all glass GE halogens(and the one Guide high beam - I bet was original to the car)they replaced.

She is definitly looking good with the Rodlights and the cowl hood. The IROC wheels did look good though(I'm a little biased since I just put a set on my '83).But you couldn't put enough footprint out back with them. And yes the mudflaps save the rear paint from hot rubber. It's better than coating them with vasoline at every race.

These aren't the ones I bought, but they are similar. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CLEAR...43919209QQrdZ1

They do make like clear covers you can put behind the wheels so that it wont ruin the paint. Not sure where they are sold or what they are called but it sure looks a lot better then mudflaps...either way as is...the car looks has a great look going.

this is one of those things where they have a function, and i don't really mind the way they look, so they are staying on.

Car looks tough.
I'd lose the flaps for daily driving, keep 'em for the strip.

Spray "pam" on the paint before doing any racing.
Rubber wipes right off when you're done.

PAM and Vasoline! haha. Those are great ideas. As a less evasive way you can just make protectors out of plexi glass. I have seen it a TON at car shows here. guys that run SUPER nice paint just have mudflaps that are a piece of plexi cut to the right shape. THen they clamp it on with some of those black clip things you can get a staples. They are a black pieve of plastic that have 2 metal tabs, and when you sqeez it opens... you guys know what I am talking about?

They have them on the road and when they get to the show they unclip them. And right before they leave, They take 20 seconds and clip them back on. I am def gonna do the same when I get my car back from the paintshop later this week.
