TA Custom Gauges

Does anyone know anything about custom dash gauges for the trans am. I have a digital dash in mine, about time to get rid of it, I know that they make a screw in kit with gauges for the camaro for like $800 bucks but do they make anything like it for the trans ams and such. Thanks

To answer your question, I don't ever remember seeing one from a company. Easiest would probably be to put one together yourself.

Look in to 4th gen dash swaps, then you can swap in 4th gen door panels too, and a 4th gen center console.

Re: TA Custom Gauges

That looks like it'll look alot nice, and a heck of alot more professional than some of the hack jobs I've seen while looking for a car. If there's something that really grinds my gears its seeing extra guages bolted on in the cable at awkward places around the cab. Thats something that would dissuade me from purchasing a car. Giant tachometers mounted on the dash, huge speedometers that go upto 200 miles per hour mounted where the air conditioner should be. Shifter lights! Blah!

Re: TA Custom Gauges

Well yes, there are "custom gauge setups" if you want to call it that. As far as replacing a digital dash, that might be a PITA.

This is the set I was looking at for my 89 formy.

I think it has that old school style without being to much like the *****s, oops, I meant "tuners". (Yeah, tuners, Bull$#!T!)

That's a lot of work just to end up with a different crappy looking dash....
