Spring time progress update..
Well it still hasn't gone back to the paint booth yet but I managed to get a few other things done..new carpet, headliner, visors, and sail panels. So I'm happy with the interior and the suspension is about wrapped up as well. I hope to have the paint done by the end of this school year for summer..from there focus will go to the motor.

That's a lot of exterior shots for just getting your interior done. Guessing you got all factory color for the interior? Nice car. Looks good from what I can see on the inside.

What carpet did you go with and how did you like it? Everything looks good, your wheels look great!

Yeah my camera isn't the best at taking good interior shots but I should have more shots up tonight after I borrow a friends camera.
I picked up everything at classic industries over here in huntington beach, the carpet is distributed through them but it's made by acc. I couldn't be happier with the quality and the installation was straight forward with very little cutting to do. It comes pre-molded for the car and you must make holes for the seat belt buckles, seat brackets, etc.

Yea I recently bought new carpet for my GTA, got it from that guy that does all the monogramming, he has the supposed beachwood color (it was pretty close) My rear hatch area was a pain to install and still does not look totally correct.

why? dont do that. r u blind? do you look at members rides?
Re: Spring time progress update..
rwdtech has crazy opinions....
I say ditch the moulding as well. Nice looking car dude! Mine should look like that except with polished 85-87 IROC rims and a 4" cowl hood with a sportline drop.

Re: Spring time progress update..
He's right I wont, at least not yet. I still have a year of high school after this and you all know how careless kids are when they are late for school and so forth..
Re: Spring time progress update..
Why park next to people? Whenever I bring my car into public parking lots I either park directly over the line so theres more than enough space on each side of the car or I park as far away as I can from idiots such as impatient high school kids.
Re: Spring time progress update..
when u park really far away does it even matter how you park anyways? i had moldings on mine when i was in high school and still got door dings....but dont worry, college parking lots are much better

Re: Spring time progress update..
Wouldn't be practical for him to remove the door molding right now. The car is a daily driver and is typically in and out of parking lots on a daily basis. Say what you want, but if the body molding is removed and another vehicle that is level with our cars opens their door carelessly, it will damage our door. Personally I'd rather have them chip the stock rubber molding than actually damage the door itself. Some things are unavoidable unfortunately, but this is just one extra good measure that is a good idea to keep.
When my buddy got his 92 RS painted, he removed the molding. Within a little more than a year, he had chips and dents all along his door in the place where his modling should have been. He probably wasn't parking as responsible as he should have, but you get my point.
Personally, I think our cars look better with it anyways. Sure you can park odd, but why go through the hassle. You'll probably get dinged anyway, and if not that, your car will probably end up keyed by someone soon enough. Even if you park far, there are always those people that end up parking right next to your ride anyway.
Now that has been said, lets not clutter up the man's thread anymore with our opinionated B/S.

i think firebirds look better without it, and camaros look better with it. especially with the 91-92 gfx, the camaro looks awkward to me without the side trim

Re: Spring time progress update..
parking way far away just gives stray carts time to pick up speed. Nice car.
