In my latest issue of High Performance Pontiac Magazine on pages 68-69 there is a picture of some 3rd gen firebirds gathered together. In the background it looks like there is a white 3rd gen bird with what looks like the chrome 17" "bullet" mustang rims on it. From what I can tell they look pretty good on it. I was wondering if anyone on here owns that car or if there are any others on here with these wheels. Will they fit on a f-body or are they replicas ordered in the firebird bolt pattern? I would like to see some better pics. Thanks.

My friends has 2 crager 5 star front wheels on his car with the ford bolt pattern, he has conversion roters with the studs moved to fit the patern. You could get new axels for the rear to put ford rims on but why, plenty of other rims out there that look great on our cars.
The only reasy my friend has those rims is because he pain 150 for the set including the rotors.

It might of been a set of torque thrust 2 rims like on my vert. They look similer to the ford bulliet rims. Adam :-)
I didn't want to put them on my car, I just saw them in the mag. and thought that they looked pretty good on it from what I could tell. I don't realy think that they are the tt2's because that is what I want to get for my bird in charcoal gray. My wife used to have a mustang and I realy think that those in the pic were the mustang bullet rims on it. Just thought that I would ask. I guess you realy have to see the pic in the hpp mag to see what I'm talking about. I just thought that the guy or gal who owned it may be on here. Thanks again guys

I don't know what the back spacing is on the mustang rims. But they could of used spacers/adapters like mine and changed the bolt pattern at the same time. If the spacers/adapters are thick enough they can change the bolt pattern to what ever they want. Adam :-)

actually it's not the Torque Thrust 2's, they are the Torque Thrust D's. Look similar but are painted gray and are just slightly a little different looking

The ones that I want actualy are the tt2's painted grey. I looked at them at Tint America. The owner showed me his books and he can order them in grey, polished,or chrome. I'm planning on getting 17's as well.

Mustang rims on a Firebird?! That's like blasphemy or something!
Yeah that's funny. I know god is a GM man. Why else would he give some one the knowledge to put small block chevy's in all of these old Ford street rods?
