GTS headlight covers

A lot of you probably have these right? Do you know if there are more than one for thirdgens? I've been looking for a good deal on some on Ebay...and some people list them as 82-92 Camaro blackouts, others say 85-87, and I've seen some that say 87-92. Does the size of the headlight pockets vary over the years? My guess would have been that although the noses vary, all the headlight pockets are the same, but I want to make sure before I bid on a pair that might not specifically specify my year. Thanks...

I had a set of these and one of them blew off when i was going about 70-75. All of a sudden I saw something shoot over the front of my car, I didn't even realize it till I got home and someone asked where it was. I think they look cool but I wish there was a better mounting system for it.

Cops don't like them either for some reason, and since cops are already against f-bodies, I wouldnt do anything to give them another reason to stop me. Also my friend had em on his monte ss, and seeing on really dark roads was fun. They are nice, but to me they are just more trouble than their worth.

If you get the smoked ones, you have to remove them every time you drive at night. I had the clear ones, and they're fine for night driving. The mounts are fine if you are careful installing them. Over time they will get brittle though. Mine were almost 2 years old when one flew off on the freeway. Before that they held on at speeds up to 135 mph.
