'86 TA with White Racing Stripes???

I am thinking what an '86 TA would look like with Racing Stripes? I never saw a pics of a Firebirs witrh stripes, only Camaros, is that cause they look real shi**y on the Birds?

Anyways I was thinking of repainting the car Navy Blue Metallic (The bad-a** color of the new TA's) and then putting two white racing stripes across teh middle. I have NO idea how this would look... but I would really appreciate it if somebody could show me a pic of a TA with similar color scheme, or do something like that in PhotoShop

Thx

Personally, when I think of camaros and firebirds I think of the camaros as being more "feminine" and the firebirds being more "masculine"! I mean, look at the 4th gens....REALLY look!! Another good example of this is the 2nd gens!! I think the racing stripes are more of a "feminine" look and therefore better left to the Camaros! I just can't imagine my '86 TA with racing stripes! But that's just my opinion!

Although I would never put racing stripes on my car...I have seen a black TA with white racing stripes on it. Look around...I saw it on this site. It is a nice looking car....I actually never even thought about putting stripes on a TA until I saw how good this car looks. Does anybody know what car I am talking about?

maksik7, perhaps the coolest thing about this guy's BAD@SS '91 T/A is that he remembered the early 2ndgen T/As and commemorates his Trans Am heritage with this gorgeous stripe job!

You know, I don't particularly like SS stripes or racing stripes but this car is simply bad as ****!!

Deadbird...that is the exact car I was talking about. I love the way that car looks with racing stripes...probably the only TA that I have seen that looked nice with the stripes on it.

yea, the stripes were custom laid by me and a good friend and they are based on the heratige 92 camaro but follow the lines of the hood and air scoups.
at first I wanted to do the typical bumper to tail viper/cobra stripes but those are tacky and I think what I have now is perfectly understated.
now that I also striped the wheels - all the cars accents (stripes, decals and wheels) are silver.
this is a pretty good shot.
