Concept 5th gen T/A

I got bored and drew this, and I'm thinking about sending it to GM. Mybe they could make the T/A in limited production like the vette.

Cool drawing. But if you send it to GM I can almost gaurantee that you would get some kind of letter back going something like this: "Thank you for you intest... blah blah blah... but we don't use designs sent to us... blah blah blah... something about corporate policy or another this or that about business... blah blah blah...."

My uncle (mother's brother) is an engineer for GM in Detoit. A few years ago, I showed him some ideas of concept cars he just chuckled and said;

"...alright, so when you get your degree in engineering I'll put a good word in for you, sorry, all designs are considered from within GM only".

...sums that up for me.

...you've got some real talent there dude. Many years ago Fischer Body sponsored a yearly contest to see who could design the best/most unique automobiles. The top prizes were scholarships to a accredited school of automotive design. You could build the models out of clay, wood, plastic, plaster, whatever, but they had to be a certain scale. The caveat was that if you received a scholarship, you had to commit to work for GM in Detroit for a 2-year stint upon completion of your education. I made it to the semi-finals, but having just escaped Chicago with my family 6 years before, I had absolutely no inclination to move back up there from Florida...

...sure would have been a killer job though...

I always liked this one from Camaro Performer:

I won't put the pic on the board cause it's huge, but there's the link.

All due respect but I think it's cadillac looking.

Personally I like it a lot. If that is going to be the 5th gen, I am definitely going to get one. Its retro looking. A mix of classic and new. Way better looking than the rounded 4th gens. I think the 4th gens are cool and everything, but its too rounded. I like the boxy looking style cause its more American Muscle looking than (just like the old days when the 1st gens came out.) And in the same article, if you saw the Chevelle, damn that would be a hard decision to make when the time comes. And also if it comes equipped with an LS6..ooh boy, stop me I'm drooling

Oh well, JMO

hahahaha that thing (5th gen camaro) looks like you bashed together a cadillac and a late-model mustang (although i do see the first gen retro-ness) hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha

i think the 5th generation should collect cues from each generation

like the 3rd generations headlights

i wish i had a scanner 2

i'd put my idea up if i did

From what I hear, the next Camaro we are going to see is going to be a 'Vette spinoff.
Pontiac, however, is considering a version of the Lotus Elise/ Opel Speedster. It's no muscle car, but a 2.2L four and 1400lb curb weight sounds like fun. No roof, either.
