Wut do u think would look good?
I just bought an engine dress up kit and I feel the color I picked out for my headers kinda clashes with the dress up kit…. Should I repaint them another color, if so wut color? And also wut color should I paint my block?

Re: Wut do u think would look good?
i had that air cleaner on my RS. It looks good in a stock engine bay and other engine bays that arn't loaded with chrome. so i would say keep everything black.

Re: Wut do u think would look good?
I’m having mixed feelings hear I don’t necessarily like the aluminum/chrome paint, but I also don’t want a dull all black engine bay…. So lets keep the opinions coming…

all black = best heat dissapation. If i were to go back again, i would paint it ALL black, from carb to pan. Plus, im in it for the speed, not the looks.. even if it is gorgeous!
Have the headers ceramic coated if you havent already, otherwise they will be rust brown in a few days whether you paint them or not.
looks good

Re: Wut do u think would look good?
are those headers coated already or are the just painted silver? If they're just painted it'll burn off and flake pretty quickly.. jet-hot is probably one of the best around for coatings. I think there's a link to em up top..

I think you should keep the headers the way they are. And you should paint the block flat black with aluminum heads and maybe paint your pullies black, that would look pretty sweet imo.

Re: Wut do u think would look good?
Definately keep the headers the way they are...why wreck the ceramic coating
with all the black that you have now, valve covers, air cleaner, timing chain cover...you should paint the block silver and all your pullies black, if you have aluminum heads leave them...if not paint them silver too...maybe dress up the hoses in red also...that will look good

@Sinister Z
This is off topic, but directing this at sinister. Is that your car is that pic?? I can tell you I hate yellow Camaros like hell... but I've got to admit that I really like the way you've done yours. Modern and not 80's gay yellow. I'm doing mine up soon and trying to decide how to do her up. I have old-style cragars which are pretty nice, but planning on modernizing the car and get new style cragars such as yours. I like your design enough to make me consider something similar.
Can I ask you where you got your yellow coat from?

Re: Wut do u think would look good?
I would coat the headers and do a few chrome pieces such as radiator hold down, master cyl cover, some braided steel lines for your hoses ect ect. I would paint the motor the same color red as the writing and your dress up kitt and I would probably dress some other things under the hood in red...like red wire looms, red optima battery ect ect. Just dont over do any thing, try to make a nice blend of black, red and chrome. That is what I am doing with my black trans am but I am going yellow, do you know if they make that same dress up kitt with yellow writing?

Re: Wut do u think would look good?
I think it looks fine, black and chrome look great together.
Black and chrome and red look great together also.
Like was said, make a few other things in the 'bay chrome, just minor things, and it would look fine.
But Im sure if that's just paint it wont look quite like that nice after a while anyway.
