92 RS Heritage - Keep it or Sell it??? Need opinions

I have a 92 RS - Auto, V6, all stock, Heritage Edition, T-Tops. Its getting up there and I just got a 99 Z28 so the RS hasn't moved in about 2 months. Its in good shape - 4 or 5 minor rust spots, small dent in hood, otherwise all original. The only thing that has been replaced/not serviced by GM dealer is the transmission which was swapped at about 150,000 miles. Should I keep it and restore it, or should I just get rid of it? Not sure where to go on this one. I should also mention I am the original owner, bought it brand new in 1992 with 34 miles on the odo.

Being that you are the original owner of the car and since it doesnt sound like it is in too bad of shape, i would restore it.

As a Camaro lover, especially a lover of the '92 I say keep it (if you can afford to) and restore it at your lesiure. Since you have a daily driver there would be no rush. It sounds as if you do sell you might regret it later. And the Heritages could be valuable in the future. If you do sell make sure car goes to someone you know will restore it properly-like me.

I would certainly keep it. Restore it, throw an LS1 in it, and have a blast!

I ll take it and make a beast, drop a small 400 in it with an edlebrock torker and a 850 dp, a small cam, some shortie headers a t56 and some 3.73's! then ill play with it at the track.....anyway i'd keep it and do the leisure thing also!!! good luck with ur decision.

Your not going to get much for it right now if you sell it so I'd say keep it. I would also upgrade the drivetrain.

It kind of depends on what you mean by restore. If you restore to be just like stock then that doesn't take much time or money. If you do a V8 swap, you'll need a different tranny, different exhaust, V8 suspension, maybe want better brakes, maybe better rims/tires. It adds up quick.

If I'd restore it and didn't need anything really fast then I would start out with putting in 3.4L with 3.4 FWD heads and subframe connectors. The 3.4 goes pretty much right in and works with the 3.1 wiring harness and computer.

Then again, I probably wouldn't restore a car that has t-tops. Sorry, just not a fan t-tops.
