Re: opinion's

I really like the SS hood.. I think it looks great on a car with a modified appearence. With that being said, I think it would look out of place on your totally stock appearing iroc. I looks great the way it is, unless of course, you have other appearence mods planned for the future.

Re: opinion's

Between the Stock or SS hood, I would say Stock.

Or getting 91-92 Z28 Hood Blisters, they will bolt to your stock hood.

But if you are looking to change the hood, I recommend the 82-84 style Z28 hood. I always liked the way the hood looks. When I get a SC, I am going to put one of those on it.

I think the ss hood looks way out of place on a third gen! The scoop has rounded corners and what not....they look great on a 4th gen IMO!

I would keep the stock hood on your car it looks great, you have a very sweet ride.

The only other hood I think looks good on a 3rd gen camaro is a small cowl hood like a 2" or 3" at the most.

i agree. the ss hood looks actually really good on the fourth gen, and late 2nd gens too. i always though the 2nd and fourth gens looked more alike (ugly) than a third gen anyways. anybody know if they make a smaller cowl hood like an inch or an inch and a half? i like the look of the cowl hood but i think even two inches sticks up too high. and just forget about the four inch. ridiculous

Re: opinion's

I vote SS Hood. I don't know though, I've never seen one in person. For big decisions on things like this, it might be best to find someone local who has the same part and check it out yourself from all angles.

Stick with the original. Your car looks perfect as it sits.

Yep I think they look fugly when they are too big.

I dont think they make anything smaller than a 2" and they look awesome IMO a 3" is pushing the limits but they can be made to look real good on certian cars it all depends on the color, ground FX, wheels ect ect...!

I look at a car as a whole package, you cant just bolt one thing on and make it look good but at the same time you can over do it.

Chip foose said he does not change a car he looks at a car and takes out the ugly...with that being said if you just bolt on a bunch of crap you can make your car ugly, instead think of the body lines and how the car flows and refine it!

Re: opinion's

Lot of hatin' on the SS hood here. As per my vote earlier, I say stick with the stocker.....

.....BUT, I do happen to really like the SS hood. -Just not on an Iroc. I think the combination of louvers, pinstripes, door decals and Iroc rims just looks SOOOO perfect. Long before I see badges or RPO codes, you can tell an Iroc rollin' down the street more so than almost any other thirdgen, or any F body for that matter. They're SO distinct. For all my mods to my Iroc, lowering is the only external appearance mod I've made. They just look SO darn good the way they came from the factory.

.....everything else is just a thirdgen Camaro. ....and I love them too, but, it's just not an Iroc.
