HELP.... tinting......

ok i have read many many topics about window tinting and i have seen some posts about the prices peopel pay... some saymid 100 for back and two side windows, others say 70-85 for only rear window. I went to two places today looking for good prices and the first place wanted $225, and i ran outa there. the other place, about a mile away, wants $205, not much different. Can someone please tell me where i can go to get lower prices on these tints, and if anyone knows how to install them really well, i can pay you. I live in merrick, long island, NY. anyone in the area, if you know anything, PLEASE!!! post.

thanks alot

I'm looking to have mine done. I stopped in at several windshield replacement places that do tinting around here. Ocean Glass, etc. They're all pretty consistent. $100.00 for the back window and $80.00 for both sides ($180.00 total). I'm guessing that these guys who post the cheap prices are in areas where tinting is more popular and unlike MA and NY your dollar goes further.

I went to Ocean in Woburn and executive in Wilmington. It's probably worth it for me to drive to Attleboro to save the $30.00.

Make sure they use 3M tint as it is supposedly the best and doesn't turn purple.

I have the same problem. I went to 2 places and they wanted $225 and $205 for the 2 side windows and the back window. I think this is overpriced but peopel tell me these are average prices for NY. Is this true??
