I'm driving a white iroc, bone stock looking, but it's getting to the point that it needs to be painted again.

I'm torn between keeping it white, or going black, which I also love.

Opinions?

FYI, the car used to be black before I bought it, but never saw it that way.

I have a black car, and was torn between making it white or black.

So i said if i couldnt make up my mind the week before it got painted, id go black (same colour as it is now). I know what it looks like, i like it, so i wont hate it...

Things to consider, white says "clean", "original", "cruiser", etc.... its a "nice" colour. Easy to paint it, easy t fix and touch up.

Black says, "badass" and various things a variation there of. You can use white to be a sleeper, also.

Black is also the hardest to get right, because it exposes any flaws immediately.

 

WHITE ALL THE WAY, I have 4 different vehicles in my driveway right now, white 82 SC, white 89 RS, white 94 Bravada, white 08 Exterra. I owned a black 85 Iroc last summer and although it was beautiful in black, it was impossible to keep clean, just my 2 cents.

 

I have a black 85 Z28 that was originally maroon before I got it. Some of the bad things about black have already been mentioned (hot, hard to keep clean, shows all imperfections). Two other things about a black exterior is that the hood louvers get lost on a black hood and the headlight pockets don't stand out on a black car. I would have preferred red or white, but black is OK, at least for now.

One thing I thought helped was to replace the blackwall tires with raised white letter tires.

 

heh you know what they say once you go black you never go back ;-) haha just kidding but I really would choose black. especcially if it was black originally. I love black though it is hard to keep clean, it sure does look good.

 

Keep it white. It just looks cleaner.

hey man i say white. I wanted a white iroc and i was gonna repaint white with red pearl in the clear coat. Then add the red and black decals. I thought that would look awesome. lol BUT i guess i just went the extra step and just got a red iroc lol Here are a few pics of a car that i would like mine to have looked like just with the red pearl in the clear coat. And one black one for ya -Matt
