Ok, here's the thing. My 1991 GTA is getting fresh paint. I installed a 96-97 style Ram Air hood and removed the door moldings. Now, I have the "Ram Air" stickers for the hood, plus A "WS6" sticker that would go below the right tail lamp, where the late 4th gens have the "WS6" badge and a small 5.7 Tuned Port Injection sticker on the fender gfx behind the front tires. Before I sent the car to the body shop it had the fender stckers and I think they looked good. Now, Should I leave with just the GTA badges and no stckers? Just some stickers along with the badges or all the stickers and badges? I know it sounds like a lot of stickers but they are small and the car hasn't gotten any smaller with timw.please let me know what u think. Thanks

 

i would put the hood stickers but thats about it im not sure about the rear one depends on how it would look. But i wouldn't put the ground effect ones. But thats just me. Nice GTA BTW

 

Personal Preference...

For the most part, I don't like stickers / badges, etc...

I usually remove them of everything & rarely leave them on...

My caps had a Pontiac symbol / sticker... I removed and filled it in... gone...

That's my personal preference...

The rear sticker would have thw same font as the ws6 letters on the center caps and is about an inch in height. There are some pics of the car in my cardomain page if you would like to se the car.

 

just remember stickers dont add horsepower so its if you like the look or not

 

its all about how you vision your car honestly if it was me with fresh coat of paint going on id say no but its your car and your preference

 

I know stickers are just looks. The hood stickers were just because the ram air cars come with them. The gfx ones were to identify the car as a 350 car and the ws6 was just an idea because the ws6 4th gens have them too. But I am inclining towards the no stickers option. Anyone else?

 

it might help to tape them on the car then stand back and see how it looks

 

It is all about your vision of the way you want the car to look and be perceived.

Personally I don't want a 350 sticker as I would prefer the sleeper approach. But that's me, you have to do you.

 

Ok here are two attached pictures. One of them shows the kind of WS6 sticker I was thinking about. The other one has the same hood I bought plus it has the clean no stickers look. I think the red car looks killer. I wouldn't want to loose the GTA badges though.

 

I personally am not a big fan of stickers.
I like the cleaner look without them, but like many have already said, you need to do what you like.

I definitely would not think less of someone that had the factory stickers on their car.

Just don’t go and stick those big flame stickers on your car.
Otherwise it would be fine with them or without them, I just prefer my personal car to be without them.

 

I like the stock look..ie: if there were stickers from the factory, leave em on. So obviously the ram air hood isn't factory for a 3rd gen but on the 4th gens they said "Ram Air" on them. So I say go for it. As far as the WS6 sticker, I'm not feeling it.

 

I Actually Like the ws6 sticker on the back. looks good and the ws6 sticker on the hood I think looks good also. BUT if you were to put screaming chicken graphics on the hood like on the 02 Collector edition trans am, I would say no.
I think those looks sick on the 02 not a Gta.

Now If it were me I would put those on my car.. They look good.

I would say just put the GTA badges on and leave everything else off. I prefer the factory look on my cars.

I like the slick look. I had my car painted last year, and left all the badges off. I have thought about putting the 5.7 tpi sticker on the cowl, when I get another engine, but dont know.

 

Ok, so I think I'll go just with the badges for now. Now, how about this one? The lettering on the back, as with almost every 91-92 I've seen, is faded. Should I get the "PONTIAC" lettering to replace it? Or should I leave it as it is?

 

I mean, every Trans Am had this, not just GTAs. On the other hand it looks kind of like a blackout without the lettering. Anyone?

 

The answer is simple ...

You're getting fresh paint, right? So when it's done, there won't be any stickers on the car at all. Just leave it like that for a while and see if you like it. You don't have to put the stickers on right away. If you like it, leave it. If you just have to have the stickers to make it feel complete, you can always add them back later.

I put the vinyl PONTIAC stickers back on my taillights. When I bought the car there was nothing there. I think I like it better w/o the stickers. I plan on taking them off soon.

no stickers all the way especially on the hood. stickers belong on hondas your car would look way better with just the clean paint

 

I was thinking about the Type-R on the hood, SiR on the back and VTEC on the doors.

 

now theres some thinking maybe a big 1.8L on the fender a DOHC window banner and some randomly placed chinese letters hahaha but seriously just stick with the gta badging i thimk you will be happier
