hey, i found this cool company online that makes custom gauge faces. this is the email i sent the guy

"I've had an idea for a gauge cluster for my car for a while. The new Z06 corvette gauges have like a carbon fiber look then the lights are turned off, but when you turn the lights on, the number apper in red and the pattern of the carbon fiber also glows a dim red too (as is my understanding from a few magazines, im not 100% if this is true or not buts its a damn cool idea). I was wondering if anything like that could be made for my car's gauges. If not, how about just a cool black face gauge, red backlighting, with a chevy bow tie that lights up red in the middle of the gauge. I know of a lot of 3rd generation camaro enthisiats that may also be interested in a gauge pattern like this. please give me a price quote for just a custom one off set and then a price for a group purchase with at least 10 people. thanks very much"

first off, am i wrong about the Z06 gauges? thats the way the described them in GMHTP

Secondly, anyone interested in either of these designs? they would be for whatever year camaros that have the same gauge setup as the 88's. Its would be a 145mph speedo too probably. so let me know if your interested so i can show this guy we got some people willing to buy.

hey, im setting up a meeting, i want to get as many thirdgens as possible into downtown naperville one night, so we can all check out eachothers rides.. etc. food, walking, good place.
anyways. im taking emails from people that are intrested so once its set.
cruise time..

SH*T that would be BAD @$$, why get a 145MPH, im thinking the 200 mph ones look bad (also, a lot of people think that what the speedo says, thats the cars top speed) also my mom probe GT says 160, so i think my iroc needs 200. I think it should be modeled after the VIPER GTS (heh they have a 200 to) becuase they just look awesome.... Vipers are so bad, i was kinda afraid just to touch the car!

 

i want to go with 145 cause i'm a lazy *** and i dont feel like trying to figurte out the correct gear ratio for the speedo gear if i change faces. but...it would be nice to know how fast im going cause i can already peg the 145 speedo

anyways... they make custom OVERLAYS. sorry man. you have to have a two hundred mile speedo, cause the light shines thru they said, so it has to line up etc.

anyways. damn, i think i have 120.... 91 pont firebird...

Damn that sounds cool. Im in for something like the Z06 black guages or whatever it is with the lit up bowtie or something. Must admit, our stock guages are boring. Especially the way its lit up and all. But I could live with it still. Let me know, if it looks anything like what Im trying to imagine them being, then Im in too. hz28@aol.com
