Look at this grill, what do you think?

I am thinking about replacing my Z28 grill with this mesh style grill. The price is great and it comes in many colors. I am thinking about a white one on my Z28. What do you think about this style grill?

I can't tell from the angles in the pics?

well here we go again... anything we do to alter the outward appearance of our cars is considered rice by all....

But hey heres a couple things to ponder before naming names....

If you have a big tach on your 305 or worse off V6 you might be rice.
If you have the non functional hood lovers and or blisters you might be rice.
If you have a big a$$ wing on the back of your car you might be rice.
If you have a loud a$$ exhaust you might be rice.
If you have a "bass booming" system you might be rice.
If you have over sized rims with the pathetic factory brakes exposed you might be rice.
If you have white face guages(yes they started in ricers) you might be rice.
If you have performance stickers on your car(unless your a real dragster) you might be rice.
If you have Limo black windows you might be rice(Yet again they started on the import side)
If you wish me to continue I can... I hope you get the point.

However my opinion on the mesh grill GO FOR IT!, I think it looks BAD A$$... I found a site that has mesh grill (Anodized Aluminum) where the slots are 1 inch by 1/2 inch for about 30 bucks...

Gofaster if you wanted to sell it and make people know its out there, there is a better way then to just pretend like you want to buy one. I came this close <imagine fingers together> to buying it.

Ok usually I just ignore all the rice slinging, but this time I have to say somethin. First, the tach thing, Camaros come with tachometers so I guess that means they are rice. Second, the hood louvers thing, I have '91 Z28 and the blisters that came on it are non-functional, must be rice. Next the loud exhaust thing, so this means every V8 with flowmaster exhaust is rice. The bass booming system thing, then every car with a system is rice. The performance stickers thing, well I put a K&N decal on my Camaro now it is rice. Finally, limo tint, it actually started with limos thus the name . I am not saying all this to make anyone mad. The term "rice" is used to refer to import cars, not domestic cars. Oh and that mesh grill is not too bad but does look kinda cheap. Just my 2 cents.

I think it could look pretty good. But you would need to get one to match the color of your car then it would look kinda normal. But do't get some flashy gold or chrome sh*t and make your z look trailerparkish!

I think that grille would look sweet if it were black (or your interior color), or possibly get it sprayed to match the car so it blends

what i think is rice is all these ***s that are scared sh*tless to do anything to modify the outward apperance to their car cause they think that others will give a **** if it looks rice to them or not. that and all the flamers on here that tend to think everything that goes on a car is rice. where the f*ck do you people get off calling a camaro aftermarket grill rice? grow the f*ck up. if you dont like it, state your opinion, as in "no i dont think i like it" or something similar. not the every post b.s. of "thats rice!". no names mentioned 1991tealRSt-topGuy. hey and if you like the grill, put it on your ride. personally i think it would look good only on black cars.

I only think it would work for black. I can see how something like Euro Lights or those funky fiberglass front ends could be rice on a camaro. But I don't see how thats rice. Rice to me is anything a *****o would build that looks gay. But I can't see why you would need to mod a camaro other than cool *** intakes and hood scopes and what not. Unlike those hondas and other pieces of crap which need alot of stuff to go from boring stock to street fruit car. But yeah, do we need to call everything rice.

Didn't someone say we pick on those we love. Maybe you dudes are all jealous? Or you all secertly want rice cars. LMAO. I'm gonna **** my pants after that statement.....

I think it looks like it will slow down your air flow. As far as apperance, I think it would look best if it was painted to match.

Okay, it looks like sh*t in the picture. Maybe (since it is cheap) you could cut it into two pieces and find a way to mount them behind the Z28 grill. It might look like the RKSport commando grill. Just an idea.

Topic: Look at this grill, what do you think?

whiterocz:

well,
1. I looked at the grille
next came step number 2

2.I told him what i thought (Oh my god, i am so sorry for having my own opinion!!!!!)haha

i told him that i thought it looked like "rice" because i have seen a VERY similar (nearly exactly the same, just made much better) grille for mitsubishi eclipses and honda civics

also the quality on that grille got left behind at the factory

p.s. I was thinking about stopping calling stuff rice that i thought was rice, but i forgot that I'M ENTITLED TO MY OWN OPINION
I GUESS ITS JUST TOO F*C*IN BAD THAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN POSTING STUFF THAT LOOKS LIKE RICE LATELY, oh yeah, why dont you go look at some older posts where people modifyed their exteriors in a cool way and see the opinions i gave............

That style doesnt look very good. I think the billet bar type would look better...Personally, I like this instead: If you dont have it, it is REAL easy to change to it...only $46 at the dealer, from a 92Z. I had the old style with the word "Camaro" that was looking pretty old and beat up...this cleaned up the front nicely.

Nice ert86Roc. Can you get those without the fog lights in there. I don't like that. I have hidden flip down fogs on my car anyways with a toggle switch in my ashtray. I'm a non smoker so all my toggle switches are in my ashtray, lol.

The fog lights are not part of the grill...they attach directly to the metal bumper.
