Anyone who wants clear taillights.

Ok found someone who does fiberglass stuff and hes probably going to make the "Jongbloed" hood from the other post for our cars and I broght up the idea of clear tails figuring that he could make the housing out of glass then add a plexi lens, he said hes going to try it, and asked that anyone who would be interested in a set email him, his name is Chuck, email address: razorr316@yahoo.com , if you are against the idea of clears on an f body, oh well dont reply to this post, this isnt asking for your opinion its for those of us who would like something different.

He said pricing would be about $200 a set, seems fair to me.

I e-mailed him, I want them as long as they look good, and not "home made."

I would definately be interested if I could see a pic first and they looked good. I'd have to say that I associate them with "*****" vehicles. However since they don't even make them for Camaros, I think one could get away with it on novelty value since absolutely NOBODY has this already and they wouldn't really be available to the general public.

I wouldn't mind picking up one of those hoods! They look mean. I'd like to put the power blisters on top too!

i'd be interested if it were a brighter, better tail light, not just plain clear ugly crap. oh boy CLEAR! but i think custom tail lights might be interesting if done correctly. count me in if they're VERY VERY VERY well made.

I'll email him the link to this page, not sure if everyone emailed him, he is going to make a set then I should have pics, got to know if there will be enough orders before putting them into production, they should be quite good as far as quality goes, he makes fiberglass hardtops for vert cars, I saw them and they looked great, we should know soon, as far as the hood he said about a month, which should let me finish the LT1 swap :-D

Are we talking about those clear tail-lights with the chrome background that I see on imports? I like the way those look, at least on those cars. Can't say I've ever seen a thirdgen like that.

I agree. Just clear probably wouldn't cut it. But if they were 3-D and cool looking inside, they'd be totally worth it.

Those aren't "clear" taillights, per se. Usually, "clear" means OEM style taillights where the red plastic is instead clear.

The aforementioned taillights, with a red round section surrounded by a chrome field, are called "altezza"-style taillights. And I think they look okay.

..Just FYI; not busting anyone's chops.

The "altezza" ones are cool. I think clear with three red dots would be awesome. Kind of like the old Impalas.

yes those altezza style lights are beautiful.
I agree that three round dots would be nice. instead of the chrome part a black would be cool too. when you asy clear be more specific.

Hey do you think he might make a version for the firebirds? I've been lookin for sometine to spice up my black T/A. Make all the ricers go !

Maybe just for kicks after I get those new taillights maybe I'll get a 2 stroke weedwacker moter, hide it under the rear and rev it up when I see one comming! Think I'll get a thumbs up?

Someone did photoshop the altezzas on a different post, but the picture didn't show up for some of us(myself included). Can someone try this again? The all clear ones would look better without the grid pattern(I think). Smooth all the way across.
