Re: Japanese induction hood

got some work done on my hood. still not done yet but its coming along. goin to see if people are interested in it and might try to make copies.

i still gotta finish weldinh up the sides and then cut a hole in the front and weld some mesh on, then it goes on to the body work stage

Re: Japanese induction hood

For the most part, I think all these heat extractor hoods are no different than the crazy insane import ground effects kits. Everyone flames the import guys for the GFX, but suddenly the hoods are cool? I don't see it, but that's just my opinion. HOWEVER.....Intimidator, YOUR hood is very simple, straight forward and to the point. Not overdone at all. Very nice. I like it!

Looks good, but I'd extend the hood cuts abit farther down towards the nose. Maybe another 4-5" if possible. The jap hood has its scoop too far back for my tastes as well. The scoop just about sits on the intake, and it should be farther in front

Re: Japanese induction hood

to be functional it has to be that far back. mine should actually be a litte further back then where it is now but i wanted it a little further forward. it needs to be after the radiator. plus the hood latch isnt that far in front of where the cutouts are now.

Re: Japanese induction hood

We want pics intimidator, really like the look of that hood, not overly done and ***** looking like some others. Less really is more in a lot of cases and hoods are one of them IMHO

I poked my head in here just to see intimidator's hood...

Honestly, I think that the hood that started this whole thing is a bit tacky, but something like intimidator's hood has my interest from a functional perspective- I think it's a great solution to building a more serious drivetrain and still getting the heat out without going with a much bigger radiator...
