UH OH BETTER NOT GET MACCO
I took my 92 camaro to my local macco 3 days ago. I had a shopping cart smash into my car while I was at work, so I had to get the dent taken out and blended. second the frontpoiler was scratched, really common. Anway the color of my car is hawiian orchid. The front spoiler doesnt match and also you can see there the TRYED to blend in the paint on the door. the paint shouldnt be in that bad of shape I wax and wash my car on a regular basis. The the part that pisses me off the most has to be on the complete opposite side of the car there is some type of tape adhesive, or something, trust me it wont come off, ive tryed everything. Im taking the car back up there on monday to see what they can do. Ill keep you guys posted.

Hello Ray!Sorry to hear that they screwed your car up.1st of all, I have never worked at at Maaco and never will. The problem is that if you take it back and try to get them to "fix" it they may screw it up even more.If they casn't get it right the first time, chances are they wont do any better the 2nd time around.I definately think you should complain.I think you should seek some kind of $$$$ compensation rather than have them touch your car again.
The blend is all a matter of technique not the condition of your paint.
As far as the tape adhesive problem goes...well I am not sure what you are talkin bout there. Some pics would help!
Oh, and to Undercover...thats just rude!I cant afford to open my own shop, but I know what the hell I am doin! There are plenty owners that dont know what the hell they are doing...that doesnt make a difference!!!

Argh! Another Maaco horror story. I have heard a lot of them. My car needs a paint job. I will probably get it done in the next few months. I will not take my car to Maaco. Thank you for re-establishing that thought in my mind. That really sucks about your car though. I hope you find a good solution soon.

So you LEFT Maaco with all these problems....sounds like you might not get anything in return. As far as I know once you leave your saying the job is done how you wanted it to be. Let me know what happens.

not all MAACO's are created equal...mine was done 4 years ago, and if I didn't F****-up the hood I wouldn't have to have that re-shot...

i got mine done for like $400 at Earl Sheib. looks darn good and if it wasn't the first bodywork i've ever done it would have looked better... i learned the hard truth of various grits of sand paper. looks great from 10 feet!
