I don't think you can go that dark on the front doors, the drivers side for sure.

it also depends on the year right? I know here in tx anything under 86 u can have however dark, i think.

What I stated above is not my opinion, but fact.
The percentages I quoted is the amount of light that must pass through the tint. Therefore, the higher the percentage, the lighter the tint; not the opposite.
From my understanding of tinting laws, it does not.

Any - Back Window
Minnesota mandates at 50% on the side windows and whatever else for the remainder. Trucks and SUV's have the rear windows tinted at 15-20% and are legal. Limos tint the rear at 5%. As long as the tint on the side doesn't go darker than 50%, you are legal. I have gone 20% on the side windows of a pickup I used to have, and my wifes car is currently tinted all around at 30%. To verify if this has changed locally, call Auto Visions in Eden Prairie at 944-9036.
