yeah it looks a lot better than it was before and i didnt have to spend $500+ on new rims. all i needed was $5 of spray paint, sandpaper and 4-5 hours of work to do this

your car just screams to have some single line irocs on with low profile tires, it would look great. nice job though, hope my irocs come out as good when i repaint them

I was just wondering did you clear them or anything after the paint just wondering how long the paint will last.

Thinking of doing my firebird ones.

i didnt use clear coat on the rims, but i think im gonna have to re do them and use a clear coat this time because if i wash them with a brush it puts in some small scratches

yeah, i sanded off most of the overspray and im gonna use some some black touch up paint to get the spots that i cant sand.

today i tried putting some clear coat on the rims but the chrome paint got messed up when i started spraying the clear on and turned a dull gray color. so i guess im gonna have respray the rims once in a while when they look like they need it. when i wash the rims i just have to use a cloth instead of a brush so it wont leave scratches.

heres a picture of the rims after 2 weeks

Re: Chrome 15' Stock Rims
they look darn good. so you did not have them chromed? it looks like you did. i was going to ask how much it cost.
is that what you did with the center pieces? mine are looking like crap as the black begins to discolor.
i wanted to get new rims but when i think about it - i love my rims and always have. but the problem is not the rims its the darn tires. 7 inch rims and try to find 235 50 15's which was an option in 86, i think.
