I've been thinking about switching to the IROC rims. I have always favored them over the RS wheels I have now. I am just not sure that it would look ok with the car being that tealish green paint. Does anyone have any pictures of a car like that?

 

Im sure someone has some pix somewhere. But IMO. IROC wheels need to stay on IROCS!! But Its your car. You do what YOU like Not what anyone else likes!!

 

What size are the Iroc wheels. Are they the same bolt pattern as the RS? I have a RS with 15's and would like to know if the irocs will bolt on?

Probably a dumb question but Im a wicked newb. 1 month RS owner.

An RS is an iroc-z

I don't see a problem putting on iroc rims on a RS if someone wants to. The only difference an iroc has from a RS is the engine, possibly disc to drum, a 145 cluster ? What else .. That's it

 

wow...there are plenty of differances between irocs and rs. an rs is NOT an iroc, but both rs and irocs are CAMAROS. thats the only similarity. irocs have differant body moldings depending on which year rs you are comparing, differant sized engines (unless you get a 305 in both models) differant fuel delivery/intake manifolds, differant suspension completely (shocks, struts, springs, steering brace, torque arms even) differant steering gear ratio's, option of having a disc brake rear end and LSD rear ends, fog lights, hood designs, wheel design (obviously lol), body striping, and the NAME IROC-Z!!!! oh and price

 

don't the rs with 16 in wheels have all the z28 suspension components and quick ratio steering? i know my rs handles better than my z ever did. also my 92 teal rs has the chrome iroc's on it and looks awesome.

I used to be a fan of the idea but lately I tend to think you should stay year-correct with most parts. I'd got the 91-92 16 wheels even if they dont look as good... they just fit the car a little better.

 

everything that i have researched says the sway bars, steering and a couple other pieces are the same at least for the91 92 rs/z28 as long as the rs had 16inch wheels. the differences would have been the fuel injection and rear diff, badging obviously, hood (which i have) and wing

 

The RS and Z28 have very little in common when it comes to mechanicals and suspension. Completely different suspension packages.
