My car is in a need of an update of 17" wheels. Anyone know any manufactures that make the lightest 17" wheels. I realize that my GTA wheels are more likely lighter.

Thanks

I believe FIKSE's make one of the lightest wheels. But they also cost an arm and a leg, maybe a left nut too

------------------
SS 17x9.5 wheels,
HOTCHKIS 1"drop springs,
HOTCHKIS tower brace,
Bilstein struts and shocks,
K&N filters,
MSD 6A,
MSD 8.5mm Wires,
MSD Cap & Rotor,
Hypertech airfoil,
SLP intake runner (plennum not ported yet, soon)
High flow cats,
SPOHN panhard bar, lower control arms, and subframe connectors,
Baer front track system,
3" Flowmaster Exhaust System,
2100 Stall High Performance Torque Converter,
300 watt sound system,
and soon to come...ZZ4 crate motor...hopefully.

After looking up the price of FIKSE's I'm more inclined to put the money toward something more useful like Weld Racing Draglight XP 91 series and a Strange 12 Bolt rearend.

------------------
87 Trans Am ZZ3 crate, Quadrajunk carb DR RODS E hanger, 3.42 gears & SLP torsen diff, aluminum rear drums, aluminum bumper brace, 1LE driveshaft, stall convertor, 700R-4 downshift delay, No Air or heater junk, All go no show.

The new Z06 wheels weigh in at 32 pounds a piece while the y2k weigh a slim 29 pounds!

But dont forget to add in the weight of the wheel adapters that are going to be needed to mount vette wheels to a 3rdgen.

If you really want light wheels, look at magnesium wheels. But get your wallet ready - FYI: a McLaren F1 has magnesium wheels...they're not cheap.
