2. 86 Camaro - V-6 Auto - Too Rusty to save sold it to my buddy
3. 85 Camaro - No motor T-5 - Stole the tranny for a swap then just sold the body
4. 84 Trans AM - Clean rolling chassis. Gave it to my dad.
5. 89 Firebird - TPI Auto - Still have. Nice clean stock car just needs paint.
6. 92 Camaro - Carbed 350 T-5 Swap - My daily driver sweet *** car.
7. 84 Trans AM - Bought a guys 3rd gen collection of stuff. Stole the T-5 for a swap.
8. 84 Iroc - Rolling Chassis. Dipped, painted, moser rear, all spohn suspension, k member, a-arms etc. Baer Brakes all around, fuel cell, sfcs, etc....will eventually be a BBC in this beast.

So I guess 8 is my number so far.

Also owed a pair of 4th Gens Trans Ams 5.7 L 6 Speed Manuals Just never couls get comfortable in the driver seat. I need about two more inches of leg room.

 

on my 3rd...first was 86 built 305 iroc 5speed was auto, blew up 3 times(cursed) sold
2nd 88 iroc 305. wanted to try it again. yet again (cursed) sold
3rd and now 2nd owner of an 86 iroc. forget the cursed part just replacing everything before it goes out already have built 350. 3rd gen for life. love hate relationship i guess we should say.

 

I'm on my 2nd.

My first was a black 1984 Firebird SE. I got that on my 16th birthday back in 1991. It was nice and clean, but nothing special... V6 auto. Purchased it with 88,000 miles and sold it in 1994 with 102,000 miles. It was repainted a couple times as I got in a few accidents, as many 16 year old kids do.

I purchased my second about 6 weeks ago... It's a black 1989 Trans Am with 29,000 miles. V8 manual. Its everything I wanted my '84 to be, but couldn't afford at the time. It's all stock and original, and I plan on keeping it that way. It only comes out on warm, sunny, summer days and stays under a cover in my garage the rest of the time.

I did also have a red 1995 Firebird from 1998 to 2002, but I didn't fall in love with it like I did with the 3rd gens.

I've owned 6 Third-Gen's and one 4th Gen.


1. 1982 Camaro Z28 - 5.0/Auto - Owner put an IROC-Z sticker on it. At first I was fooled, but as I studied and learned about Third-Gen's I realized it was just a Z28 305/Quadrapuke with a weak 3spd auto. Sold the car to my friend who dismantled it and never fixed it.

2. 1988 IROC-Z - 5.7/Auto - Originally a dealer car, had most of the 1LE options with the exception of the big brakes =( On the positive side, it had all the creature comforts too including the Bose Audio, which wasn't bad at all! Raced Auto-X in this car, and had a lot of fun with it. Also had 2.73 Posi 9-bolt, which ended up getting fried. Car fell off of a jack, and developed a hard knock. Sold the car for much less than it was worth when finances got tight.

3. 1990 RS - 3.1/Auto - Purchased for $1000, it was working, but needed a lot of TLC. I went through the car from tip to tail, and Traded it in for $2000.

4. 1986 IROC-Z 5.0/Auto - Fun car with a lot of get-up and go. Sold to a friend.

5. 1986 IROC-Z 383/Built Auto - Purcahsed for its engine. I was going to put the engine in my '88 which had a knock. After selling the '88 I found major rust problems in the sub-frame that were not there when it was purchased. Sold.

6. 1991 RS - 350/Manual (LSX/T56) - Purchased for $900 as a project car. Car was advertised as a Z28, and has the badges/body panels from a Z28 as well. It was definitely originally an RS though. I may just turn it back into an RS in terms of the rear spoiler, and badges just for the sleeper effect. I'm in the process of tearing the car down, to undercoat everything, dynamatt, and install 4thGen interior, LSX/T56, add paint, rims and suspension. Its a big proejct, but its what I've always wanted to do since I had my '88. The difference is now I have the money to do it.



4th Gens

1. 1995 Firebird Formula - LT1/Auto - Purchased for cheap, needs TLC. I'll fix this car up, maybe drive it if my Harley sells, then sell it for a small profit when my '91 is done. This all depends on whether or not my wife wants it for racing.

 

WOW! 6 Third Gens and all of them with a 5.0 litre--you must love that engine!

#2 Bought in '06 w/118k mi. for $2000 is my current part time DD. '84 Camaro SC V-6 5spd. Bought because it got descent gas mileage, looked very presentable and had a nice system.

#3 Bought this year w/160k mi for $300. My '91 Z-28 350 TPI Roller project.

Just bought my first one 3 weeks ago.
1988 Black/black GTA automatic with a 5.0. It's my first car and I absolutely love it.

 

My 1st Car was a 83 Trans Am, Bought when I was 15 10 months before I even had a License

I have also owned an 84 Firebird, 87 Firebird and an 88 Camaro, Which were all daily drivers.

3 for me.

First was a red 91 RS 305 TBI with a 5 speed and t-tops.

2nd was a red 92 Heritage Edition Z28 (350 tpi) with 45k miles I bought in 2001. Sold it a year later.

Now just got an 85 z28 with 42k original miles.

 

1: 1986 burgandy/gray two tone Z28, factory posi, leather, etc, no TPI Got in 1994 when 15, totalled January, 1995

2: 1985 blue Z28 305 carbed. Got rear-ended and totalled. Used for parts.

3: 1986 yellow Iroc 305TPI(still have as a roller). Bought in 1996. Drove it daily for about 5 years. Then took it down to redo. Redid and droove it another couple years before the motor went and then it got to its current state.

4: 1985 carbed 305 5-speed blue/gray bottom. Bought to enjoy while I was redoing the yellow car the first time. Sold to a friend

5: 1987 350TPI red Iroc. Got in on trade for the running 1985. Used for parts as it had front end damage.

6: 1988 V6 2.8 auto Camaro with Gold T/A wheels. Used as a DD when not drivingthe yellow 1986 Iroc. Sold to buy a Honda DD

7: 1985 Yellow Iroc I am driving now, but for sale(see reason in #8) Has new paint 350 stealthram swap and black interior. was going to make the roller and this car into one badass street car(other car was going a little to "drag")

8: In the last two months bought a 1987 Supercharged 5-speed 305 Iroc. Its blue with TONS of goodies, but two blown head gaskets. So, that means I have three right now. The two yellow ones are up for sale then I will fix a few small things on the new one and enjoy it!
