Need to get something a little brighter and better looking then the stock ones that are there. If anyone has any good ones please post pics, I WILL NOT GO WITH HID.

Re: Headlights

Do the h-4 conversion... Won't have to scratch up your bumper trying to replace headlights ever again... They're pretty much plug and play... I was hinted that I got a set for x-mas... Can't wait to see how they turn out...

Agreed. I have these in my truck. Lights are whiter and brighter. I get more light in front and to the sides.

Re: Headlights

Sylvania Silverstars, I highly recommend. I have them in the fog, and head lamps. They are so white and bright, when I am next to new cars at night I notice that my lights are whiter and brighter... I have been told my car "glows" going down the street at night..

Re: Headlights

silverstars for straight plug and play.....H-4 no matter what anyone tells you they are not plug and play, at the least you have to make pigtail connectors to connect them and all the way upto a full wiring harness with relays.. but having said that its well worth the work involved.
So it depends how much work you want to put in to it.

Re: Headlights

I have Silverstars, but a upgraing to true HID. I'm tired of replacing the Siverstar bulbs. Apparently they only last about 2 years.....

And that is with me rarely driving at night anyways, so it isn't like I use them several hours a day, every day, 365 days a year either.

Re: Headlights

For the fog lights, it is a H3 bulb, but the headlights are a sealed beam (H6054ST for 85-90 'birds, H4666ST for 91/92 'birds)

Re: Headlights

Living in the city, the Silverstars were fine for me. Now I live out in Bum Fudge Egypt, where the roads are DARK, there are no street lights & the deer are plentiful.

When I ride in a HID equipped car out here, I realize just how "bad" my Silverstar headlights are (compareatively speaking).

Re: Headlights

If i didnt have HIDs already, i'd go with silverstars.Infact its what i used prior to switching over, but H4 are not worth what little(if any) improvement they give.

Re: Headlights

im trying to find a glass housing H4 setup for my Trans Am.

I have hookups on HID's and im afraid that a 55w HID kit is going to melt the plastic housings.

I have 55w 6000k HID's in my Titan and its literally like i drive down the freeway with the sun infront of my truck. i get 5 lanes wide and 6 car lengths of light ahead of me. My truck is lowered with the lights aimed slightly down from the stock location. I could make the lights shoot out further but i like to see what is directly infront of me.
