Well I'm sure I won't get this since my car is all stock 305 TPI with a T-5 5 speed and 65K original miles, but it's so awesome to see these cars get some love. I'm 19 years old, and the only mod i have to my car is a set of 17" SLP ZR1 wheels and a flowmaster muffler.

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
I don't think I'll get a spot but my car went from being no engine, trans, or rear axle with crap paint at the beginning of the year to an LT1/4L60 and painted in about 3 months, working weekends only. Got a new interior for it, as well as a T56 ready to swap in as soon as it gets warm again.
Did all the work ourselves, even the bodywork, though I didn't spray it myself because I had no place to do it.
August 1st, 2009. Stripped engine/trans/axle. Installed LT1, 4L60E, harness PCM, LS1 3.23 axle.

Drove it home after testing it around town. First time it had been on the road since September 2005. Its ugly.

I made it uglier. Bodywork and painted by October this year. New nose, fenders, doors, front gfx, and rocker panels.
Painted by the end of October.

Ready for the track. Dirty wheels. I was having fun.

Holy crap. The cream of the crop popped up in this thread. I don't think my car is in the same class as some of yours but I'll toss my hat into the ring.

Some of the mods;
LSx/t56, c6 z06 brakes, c6 wheels, SFCs, trimmed eibach springs, 4thgen console, etc...

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
thanks for the nice comments. They almost fit right in. Had to do a lot of trimming LOL
Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
Here's the three that are even close to being ready for a magazine.
The 88 GTA: relatively stock. The suspension has been redone due to age. The stereo has been replaced for better sound. And the engine now has AFR heads. Soon it will get a Miniram and a bigger cam for better power. The most striking feature is the bird ghosted into the paint of the hood. And the C&C t-tops that pop up like a sunroof and come out like t-tops.

The IROC: 3 inch catback, updated stereo, and a glass rear window top. Otherwise it's a 70k mile survivor.

The 92: the sheet metal is still original.
The drivetrain is a complete replacement. Forged 355, AFR 195 heads, HSR, Procharger F1A with cog drive, FMIC, custom Ron Davis Racing radiator, Accel DFI Gen VII ECM, caged, 12 bolt, built transmission, cowl hood (still needs paint)

I'd be proud to show off any or all of them if you want.

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!

Wow... I've never actually felt bad about my car til I looked through this topic. Nice looking stuff guys.
I'm nothing special:
'92 Camaro RS. 305 Automatic.
It's was my first car and didn't look half as nice when I got it, it was teal with alot of dents here and there, nothing too major. Did the body myself, got it professionally detailed this last October. Besides that, only things non-stock that had to be replaced was the interior headliner, a JVC head unit, Infinity speakers, and Superman floor mats.
Unfortunately because I'm 18, insuring this is such a *****, and I have no more money to put into it at this time, cause I'm a full time student as well. Can't complain though, I get the sweetest car on campus.

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
Hello,
I am the webmaster of Camarosource.ca
I own a custom 1992 Camaro Z28 show car. I'd like to think of myself of a Camaro enthusiast due to the fact that there are not too many people who have their own car on their own jacket, and a 1:18th scale die replica ;-)
The car is medium quasar blue metallic with two (2) silver glossy racing stripes going from the bumper, over rear wing, roof, over ASCD IROC Daytona fiberglass hood, front, and down front spoiler.
The car is powered by a re-built "Cammed" 5.7 Liter V8, 350 TPI including 1.7 roller bearing rockers, K&N's, bullet MSN ignition... The car is an automatic complete with racing Kevlar internals and TransGo Shift kit. The car features Custom Blue/Silver Leather Upholstered Seats (Front & Rear) w/ custom embroidery. The car has recently be custom done with Sequential Full LED rear taillights.
The car rides on P275/40/R17 V-Groove tires with Highly Polished Torque Thrust ][ 17x8 Rims.

FULL details can be found at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/296625
The car has been featured on a number of props:
- Music CD
- Number of magazines
- Cake ( :-) )
- Calendars
- Video's
- Flyer's and Posters by numerous clubs and websites
Thank you for the opportunity.
