here is my 1991 camaro 305 tbi exhaust all the way back 1 in drop 18 in replica

 

This is for GM HIGH TECH Performance. The magazine is about fuel injected GM vehicles. Last I checked nothing about a Predator carb was high tech.....

 

 

Not only that guys, while some of these are nice looking cars, their STOCK. 195hp 305?? C'mon guys, GM HI TECH!! We're talking probably 85+% LSx powered vehicles, or turboed, supercharged. And with the forced induction non LSx cars, their still has to be a readers reason for GMHTP magazine to feature them.

 

As it says GM HIGHTECH IS LOOKING FOR YOU. take a look and what people have done to keep the vehicle in factory condition. It isnt like your going to the store and picking up what you need at a local parts depot. The is the art in Restoration.

I've never seen this type of setup before with a roots type blower mounted off to the side like that. Any more info on your setup?

Last I checked, not a damned one of the cars in this thread wound up in the magazine anyway, so why not just let everybody post their pics regardless of whether it's powered by a carb or a cold fusion generator?

Those lights are amasing! what are they? where did you get them? (if you dont mind)

 

A friend of mine says I need to go check out this month's issue. He said I'm on the street heat section, so I'm gonna hit up the book store on my way home from work!

 

Any idea if mine was ever used? All my stores here have not carried GM High Performance is months and I've been unable to find any one who has it anymore..

 

They should change the name of the Mag from GMHT to GM-LSX.
These days unless theres a particular car in GMHT like last months, with Bruce Hawkins 92 1LE and LSX powered clone. I usually dont buy it. Before that a few months a 91/92 Z with a HSR 355 Procharged got me to buy it. Otherwise, id rather read High Performance Pontiac or Camaro Performers or even Car Craft.

 

I read GMHT when it was HT performance. They used to have a lot of articles about TPI based engines but they fell in love with the LSX engines and platforms ( whats not to love about the LSX, the platforms though?) and abandoned the 80's based vehicles all together. That was when I let my subscription end. Anyhow, I might reconsider if these wind up in the rag -









Bought the car in 1990, it now has about 110K on it. Body and paint - repainted in 2005 and all weather stripping / decals / lights / door hinges etc replaced with GM parts.

Engine - zz4 short block, AFR 195 heads, SLP T-Ram intake, custom comp roller ( .588L, 236ish D), Crower SS RR, SLP headers / cat back, 2800 stall convertor, Eibach springs, Koni struts / shocks.

My two YO son popped my car ( the one pictured above) out of gear and this happened -



I bought this with the intent of installing the go fast parts off of my car onto, then parting the rest of the 87 out, but my wife decided this would make a good replacement for the 2000 T/A I made her get rid of becuase other than the LS1 and 6 speed tranny the rest of the car was a pile of S!&**. You wont here this from the LSX appendage sucking rag, but I have been there and seen it. 4th gen cars are garbage., nly thing going for them is the drive train minus rearend.

1990 IROC convertible, 1998 leather T/A seats, GM 350 crate engine, SLP 1 3/4" SS headers, Borla cat back, SLP knock off ZR-1 wheels, soon to be installed HSR intake, Trick Flow heads and comp roller cam that came off of / out of my 1987 IROC above.

My 1992 Heritage Anniversary ED. is all stock,305c.i.,Flowmaster exhaust, American Racing IROC rims, 1000w JVC stereo. I think the original Camaro look w/out modification looks better.

 

Actually that's not stock if it has modifications. and can't be a Heritage edition ;-)

 

Be careful Jim, my car got a full feature in the April 2010 issue. The title of the article is "Love at First Flight"

 

I don't even know if my car was ever in it because I haven't been able to find anyone here that is selling the GM Performance magazine anymore in more than a year :-(

I have a 1991 chevy camaro rs t-top
It has a complete 99 z28 camaro swap, LS1 engine, auto tranny, 99 z28 rear end, 99 z28 gas tank and drive shaft, 99z28 torque arm, 99 z28 dual fan set up with radiator. For exhaust got a custom made y-pip into a SLP loudmouth 1 with dump, full interior done, 4th gen front seats, 99z28 cluster, tinted windows. Z28 high rise spoiler, iroc front grill inserts, HID lights, racing pods, tinted taillights, 18 inch zr1 with 2 r555 nittos, cross drilled rotors all the way around. 4 inch steel cowl hood from Goodmark.

Still alot more to come, next on list is a racing cam
