Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
Mine is kind of a high tech/low tech approach. Well a lot of people consider the TPI to be a low tech solution, but it gets 22 mpg highway and 7.8's in the 1/8th on a stock engine and that's on regular firestone radials.
Forged ZZ bottom end with AFR heads going in soon though!

Painting it this weekend (finally). Can't wait to feel the boost again. It's been six weeks!!

Didn't really have any "recent" pics of mine when I made my previous post. Here is how the car ACTUALLY sits at the moment with the Dana 44 in the back, and again will be a turbocharged 5.3/T56 combo.

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
He is a moron because he doesnt hit the track?
I guess i am a moron to for building up a very nice/expensive car with great suspension parts and not taking in on the track... alot like everyone else i guess.
Not all people want to risk their street cars on the track. specially nicely painted and heavily invested. if you have a dedicated track car or a beater u just dont care about it makes more sense.
If you are so much less of a moron you should do the swap and then "hit the track" and tell everyone about it.
back to topic.

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
Thanks guys.
The engine compartment cover is wrapped in 3M-Di Non carbon fiber wrap that I purchased from ebay. I bought some hydro-dipping material and will be dipping it along with some other parts this summer.
That SOM turbo TA needs a full article once its completed

hehe, thanks for having my back man, that was funny.
I'll be going to Gingerman Raceway with the MotorState Challenge fairly soon. I'll report back on performance then. Hopefully that will remove me from weenie status! LOL

Re: GM HIGH TECH is looking for YOU!!
I've posted this car a few times but since its almost back together AGAIN here goes.
Bought the car Nov 2006 from Bruce of Hawks Thirdgen. It at the time had a stock LS1, 6-Speed and a STS Turbo kit on it. I daily drove it back and forth for about 2 years until i deployed (I'm In the Navy) and when I returned from that 8 month Deployment I put the car down for what was suppose to be a short time. Almost 3 years later... Its almost 100% Back together. Looking to make 700HP+. Everything but the Body work and a few welds were done by myself. The wiring harness and Gauges are the only thing really left that was done by Hawks Thirdgen. So here it is.
LQ4 Block
243 heads with Patriot valve springs
Custom Turbo cam from Slowhawk
JE Turbo pistons
Eagle H beam Rods
CTSV R Lifters
LS2 Timing Chain
LS6 Oil Pump
76MM Master Power Turbo.
LS6 Intake
Dual 255 Walbro Intake pumps
80lb Motron Injectors
Speed Inc Fuel Rails
Spohn Adj Torque Arm
Spohn Sway Bars
Spohn Adj Lower Control Arms
BMR Strut Tower Bar
Spohn Pro Touring Coil Overs
PRO 5.0 Shifter
I know there is a ton of stuff I'm missing. Been trying to get a feature for years. The car sits on Ronal R15 (FIREHAWK) wheels that have been custom painted.

Will post the finished engine bay pics when i finish relooming everything.
