Re: license plate lights

Dumb question but the original bulb is still good, right?

Side note; I put a multi LED bulb in my license plate socket and loved how it looks. Really updated the rear of the car at night.

Re: license plate lights

Doesn't look bright enough to have done any good though. Looks like they'd get you pulled over by the cops, for bad lighting.

idk, i took a good look at them and they are definatly brighter than the stock 194 bulbs, maybe because it emits a more white light they don't look as bright? maybe i'll put the stock ones back on, it's only one screw anyways

Re: license plate lights

Pics can't always show everything good. If they look good in person, go for it!

And if you compare to the picture mere inches away of the stock light output you can see even the incandescent 194s don't seems to put out much.

Yoshi,

The lights look good. Just wondering if the bottom lens is supposed to light up or not. It's blank in the pic. Definite improvement over the stock bulb.

Hope to see you at Performance World. Drop by the club booth.

If not...see you at the Friday night Timmy's meet.

To answer your question, the bottom part of the lens has no bulb in it so no it doesn't light up, although on the iroc taillights the bulb is in the middle of the lens so it should light the whole thing up.

If i have time i'll come by the friday's meet, you guys will hate me after you see my new winter car . I think i remember coming to the performance show last year can't wait!

Performance World is this weekend. I'll be holding down the booth Sunday morning. Come early as I'm doing a Timmy's run just before the show starts.
