Tinting (Smoking) Trans Am Tail Lights and Marker Lights. HOW?
Haha alright, so trust me, I have searched for a few days now.
I know what to use, how to sand. But my question is for the tail lights: Do I sand and spray the outside? Or do I somehow crack them open?
And i'm pretty sure the marker lights you just sand and spray the outside correct?
So my list here:
- VHT Night Shade
- 800 grit, 1000 grit, 1500 grit, and 2000 grit.
Sand the letters (dots) out, clean them up, spray 1 coat of night shade, then wetsand, then 2 coats of clear?
Anyones input would be great!

I've heard of people spraying the inside of the tail lights. I had a room mate that did the outside.. didn't prep correctly and put too many coats of night shade on it. He then put some cheap clear coat on it and it then frosted it. looks horrible. he got that off and now it looks too dark and dull.. can't see the lights that well at night at all.. so he tried some LED spider bulbs.. and it looks horrible. He has a really nice car too - 88 Iroc in nice condition. Anyway, i would say do the inside so it doesn't dull them. And don't do it too heavy.. Hope I helped somehow.

This explains one of the several ways the prep work can be done. As long as you get the surface clean, you're good to go.
