Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

Could any of you photoshop guys take a minute or two to lower my car? After the car in the pic is lowered, I'd like to print an 8x10 of it for the wall.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Here's the pic..

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

I know the 1st pic would be a bit "challenging" to make it look nice, but that's way beyond my Microsoft paint skills!

The sideshot shouldn't be that bad to drop.. I wouldn't mind seeing that pic slammed in the weeds, but still need 1st pic done if possible!

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

Those pics are SICK! You guys are REALLY making me want air-ride!!

Since my boss is a dealer for air-ride technologies, I may be able to get a deal on a shockwave system...

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

Just get you a set of Ground Control Weight Jacks. That way it is easily adjustable & your alignment won't always be off, like with air bags (unless you get a kit with adjustable 1-button settings, like for Drive & Park).

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

I have never used a set of weight jacks, and to be honest, I've never seen those before! But I will definitely look into them.

As far as the air ride systems that we do at the race shop, the system's controller has ride height settings that you can program into the control unit. We usually air the car or truck down to where it still looks good, but is still safe to drive over Houston roads without tearing stuff up, then program those settings (all 4 bags, whatever it takes to get the car level) as the ride height setting, then we align the front end with the car at that air setting. From there you can go higher or lower while driving or in park and back to ride height by hitting a button.

It's pretty neat, but still costs a good chunk of $$$$$ !

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

In this pic.......Rears on the left, fronts on the right. The rear springs are upside down & the fronts adjusters sit on top of the springs, with the the adjuster "screw" pointing down. 1 ratchet up front or 1 allen wrench & hand turning the collar out back is all it takes. Not something you'd want to adjust on a frequent basis, but WAY cheaper than air ride. About $450 brand new, for all 4 corners.

Too bad you didn't make it up for the State Gathering on Sat. Very nice twin turbo smal block Trans Am showed up!

I like and appreciate all the photoshops you guys do! They give a great visual of what a particular mod "could" look like.

Two things prevented me from making the trip. First thing is I work every Saturday and the other is my black car currently does not have working A/C !! I about died on the way to our Houston meet a couple weeks ago!
I need a new EVAP core and some 406a. But, I would have liked to go!

The weight jacks look like they would work great! When lowered a bit, how does the spring rate compare to the stock springs? Is it a rougher or bouncier (sp?) ride?

Maybe next year. There are already talks of doing this again next year, but moving the date. It was 104 degree heat index (actual 97) that day!

You choose what weight you want when you order them. Mine are 650lb front/160lb rear. Just a bit over stock & very comfortable. I've seen people use 1000lb front/240lb rear, but those are really race weights. And new pairs are only $55 from Ground Control (other sources are cheaper) so if you ever want to change, its not expensive & you can change just the fronts or rears, not all 4.

I've gone the cut stock springs & buying lowering springs routes on my vehicles. Every time I kinda liked it, but wasn't quite what I wanted. Wit the Weight Jacks, I just got under the car again, turned wrenches, until it got to where I was happy with the height..

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

Looks like that is the way I'm gonna go.

What is the spring rate of the stock springs?

Re: Need photoshop guru to lower my car..

IIRC, WS6 springs were about 500lb front/150lb rear. I went just over that for 2 reasons.

#1.....I bought mine used & that is what they were already.
#2.....I would gone with about that anyways, since my GTA is my daily driver.

If you had made it up for the State Gathering, or if you are up here before you order some....You are welcome to a test ride to check them out.

I do have a rod-ended rear suspension, so that is where most of any of my ride harshness comes from. That & the 17" sidewalls.
