Re: Fog lights
I've seen some at Wal Mart that are virtually identical to the OEM ones on my 87 GTA & my 89 GTA (RIP).

Re: Fog lights
i got some advanced auto parts ones.
they bolted into some existing holes when i used a smaller diameter bolt to hold them.
the light output is pretty crappy, but i got them for looks mainly... the car just looks empty without anything in the front end.
they were $20 and look like miniature headlights.

Re: Fog lights
I found a set of dual duty type auxiliary lights from Summit by Hella that fit the bowtie grille almost like stock. It's a driving light and a fog light in one housing. I've since changed the supplied H3 bulbs with a set of 5150K blue (ultra white) and 2500K yellow bulbs.

White driving lights

Yellow fog lights

Since I didn't have stock brackets (not sure if they'll work anyway), I ended up with a set of 4th gen brackets which fit nicely over the upper bumper support.

Re: Fog lights
Knowing me...I'd put white bulbs in both sides (all 4 sockets) and wire them together.

Re: Fog lights
If you have a Trans Am, the wal-mart (or other parts store) lights are virtually identical to the factory lights except for the housing mounts. The lens, reflector and bulbs will directly swap into the stock TA housings. If you don't have the stock housing then you could almost certainly fab these lights into the stock location. The brand name I've used is "Blazer", iirc. When I had a bulb burn out the replacement lights were around $18 vs. a pair of bulbs at near $8. I swapped in the new lenses and reflectors (with the bulbs) for a like new appearance.
Camaro lights will be different.

Re: Fog lights
Which is why I posted under the firebird section, but it was moved. Anyway, I was looking for pics of different style TRANS AM fog lights. I guess everyone has the small oem ones. I have an issue of GMHTP from 2002 and there is a trans am with some wider fog lights, and it looked really good. Just don't know what brand they were...

Those are the OEM C4 Fog/Parking light combos. I got one intending to do that to my car, but never wanted to cut my fascia to make it fit. If you decide to go that route, I have 1 of them, so you'd only hafta find the other one.

Yes, that's the one! I'm up in the air about cutting the fascia. Banned

Re: Fog lights
After reading the article, I got ahold of him & talked to him about it. Sorry, but I don't really recall any specifics, but it seems like it wasn't that big of a deal for him to fit them in there. Just cutting & new holes/mounts to get them in there.

Re: Fog lights
You can see the ones I had on here but you gotta be so darn careful as going up is fine but backing out of a steep drive will beat them up.
Only got tired of buying new builbs for em, such small housing means they ran real hot and burned out quick. twice a yr at $6-7 a bulb.

Re: Fog lights
Go with the Blazer ones from Walmart. As stated, the lenses are a direct swap plus they don't have the ugly metal piece in the inside like the oem ones do. The lense is clear and they're way brighter than the stock ones. I paid about 25 bucks for em.

Ponriac OEM Fog Light improvement...
And you can convert your stock wiring so that the fog lights stay on, while the high beams are on even easier!

Re: Fog lights
I was kinda surprised that the Walmart ones are actually a glass lense too. I figured for 25 bucks they'd be a cheap plastic.
