I had never seen it before either, It was posted with a pic of the jap reverse cowl hood and a cowl hood with similar vents. maybe it's another other seas hood. It's cool though. I think on the right color that hood would look amazing. I think it would look good on a blue car.
yea the bird doesn't get many aftermarket hoods. It's hard to make one look better then a stock hood on one.

Yes, the whole slope of the hood is different. You'd be better off starting with a Firebird hood and making a custom one.

Its _NOT_ made for a 3rdgen at all - I've seen that hood before, I just can't remember exactly what its made for, but its not for a 3rdgen Camaro/Firebird. It just looks similar in shape, but that hood is considerably smaller than ours.

Just trying to put some sense to all this madness with a faux "new hood".

Buy a hood and PAY a fiberglass shop to build you one. Will it cost some $$$ yeas. Will it be one of a kind? YES

Im doing a 1 off hood for my vette with euro headlights. It just takes time money and thought.

I'm in the works of actually producing some new styles for the 3rdgens, but the whole "what people will pay" stigma is coming into play pretty badly..... I can't do the fab/design and production and still make money @ $500 a hood - at least not on the first 15-20.
