HO = High Output

What car and year is it in? TBI isn't usually labeled HO... interesting

 

so how do i know if my 305 is high output? cause when i ordered my cat back its a non h.o. one?

 

it wasnt labled h.o. but the exhaust i chose was non h.o. its a 91 rs

 

They didn't make H.O TBI's just to let you know.

They probably meant 305 HO. That is what a lot of things call the 305 TPI. And you got the tbi exhaust. I think the TPI would have been less restrictive and that is the only difference.

There is no TBI HO. The only HO option on any thirdgens was 83(maybe 82)-87 for the carbed cars. This was the L69 engine instead of the LG4. The easiest way to tell is the dual snorkel air cleaner which says "305 H.O." on it. Another way to tell is to enter your VIN number on the VIN decoder on this website.

My neighbor down the street(which i hate) has an IROC that says that on the side by the wheel well. Not sure on the year of it

 

The 305 H0 was the L69 motor. It was available from 83 until 86. In 88 the L03 tbi motor made it's debut, but never was there any sort of "HO" model on the TBI motor. It was the same 170 hp TBI motor until it's timely death after the 92 season.
