Nice project man.
One question: Why are the times so high when you have a 406 HSR in it or are those times on a 350? Mine ran 14.25@96 and all I had at the time was a 350 with a SuperRam on it and some bolt ons/upgrades.

So all you had was a catback exhaust and you ran a 14.2? How the hell did you do that??? I have a 350 that had the following mods/upgrades at the time and only managed a 14.2 in 87 degree weather.

Accel/Lingenfelter Super Ram intake
24 lb Bosch design III injectors
Accel 58 MM throttle body
PCMforLESS tuned chip
160 degree thermostat
Flowmaster 3" from Y pipe to muffler
Goodyear hi miler hoses
EGR deleted
TB coolant bypass
NGK G power plugs
Taylor 8MM wires
Hypertech cap and rotor
Hypertech 53K volt coil
K&N air filter

Re: 88 GTA just getting started

From what I have seen browsing the forums for the past two years, a stock L98 does mid 14s, low 14s with a good driver.

I have read all the magazine articles posted over on the source page and everything I've read says the GTA does high 14's generally from the factory. I can imagine mid 14's, but 14.2 is just pushing it for me on a stock L98 from what I've seen and read. I'm not calling his word into question, I'm just curious on why I'm not faster than that given my mods. I dynoed at 235WHP and 318 WTQ which is about 40-50 HP over what they made from the factory when you factor in the driveline losses, so how the hell am I only running with a stock 88 GTA that had 15 HP less than me from the factory since they were rated at 225 and mines rated at 240?

Auto. My best 60 ft. time was 2.06. I'm running 8* advanced on a pcmforless chip. I know I'm losing some time on the 60 ft. cause it spins some for about 10-20 feet off the line and I plan to work on that with some tire pressure changes next time I go to the track. I also had it running a little rich because the fuel pressure was a tad too high.
