SPOTS ON GLASS WONT COME OFF!!!

Im sure everyone knows what Im talking about. I have them on my 91 and 98 Camaros. The ugly spots on the glass that will not come off with most household cleaners. I have tried almost everything. Surely there is a chemical out there that will take these spots off. Its not water spots. It looks like the previous owners parked them under a tree or something. Help me out.

Try using car polish. it could be mineral deposits on the glass. Make sure not to use wax, it will leave nasty film on the glass.

Just use gas. Leaves a nice smell. And you can catch a buzz on the way to work.

KOH Potassium per oxide. No really it is the best glass cleaner around. That is why chemists use it to clean beakers.***please don't try this it is kinda dangerous, and very hard to come by. Also maybe hazardous.***

I use this stuff called "Goof Off" from home depot, the best thing i have ever seen in my life to take these things off any window.

(i think its called "Goof Off" not sure, comes in a little yellow, metal, container with red lettering, about 3 bucks)

Thanks for everyone's reply. I didnt have any mothers polish around but I had a different brand of metal polish and it worked like a charm. You have to use a lot of elbow grease though. Thanks again.
