Black Projection Headlights

Has anyone used these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-97...#ht_4576wt_915

OR

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H4-HE...#ht_4605wt_975

The goal is to install a HID kit in the car.
I bought a clear pair of these but the beam is all over the place. They don't project light well, so I actually see worse than stock lights, and I light up second floor windows with my right light. The alignment wasn't changed.

So I haven't bought HIDs because I want to find headlights first and want advise! Have you guys used either of these before? My guess is the first link wouldn't be a bad choice....?

Neither set will be all that good. Been there, tried that.

Just go get yourself some Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams. That is what I did & can see 100 times better.

Unless you put in REAL projectors and just use them as housings to mount a real projectors in, those things are useless.

Re: Black Projection Headlights

If I go with D1S HID projectors, and fit them in the housings I have, should i use a stock sealed beam housing and cut it to fit, or should i used my ebay "diamond cut" h4 conversion ones?

i was looking at these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mini-...ht_5000wt_1099

how much of these have to be in the housing? if only the grey ring and lens is showing, is that how they work? or do more of them need to be out?

Re: Black Projection Headlights

69mm is almost 3in.Almost too big to fit.
Put as much of the projector in the housing as possible. With both lenses about 1/8 or less apart.

I like the looks of the blacked out sealed beam on e-bay but i'm hesitant. Love the looks of those headlamps you had built! Good job
